Is the screw thread normal? Can other handles be used?

Augustin responded that all of his razors are manufactured to be compatible with the common ISO M5 thread pattern (which I believe is M5 x 0.8). So third party handles that use the M5 pattern should be compatible. I have tried my timeless crown handle (M5 x .8) and it seems to be compatible.

Works fine with other handles. I paired the La Faulx with a Blutt Rasur handle no problem.

Can anyone compare Le Faulx to a WR4? I mean the plates++ what gap WR4 do you compare it to?

I wanted to add... My La Faulx will be delivered in the next few days. I ordered it on July 10th, I believe... It cleared customs down in Miami yesterday and should be here today or tomorrow... "They" say today but I doubt that... so probably tomorrow. It's a bronze one with the premium polish, stand included. I didn't really expect it to be shipped until late October for an early November delivery.

I don't have a WR4 but that's the next razor head I'm going to purchase. I already have a handle for it... the Wolfman Darwin as I bought two handles with my WR2.

Has anyone tried the La Faulx + plate yet? I'm wondering how it compares to the standard plate. The standard plate was super smooth for me but I would like a little more efficiency without losing the smoothness.

A boring & mild razor even in the ++ baseplate. Not as much as the cousin Maurice, which is boring almost to the death, but we are almost there.
It's very good for those who don't want to get that BBS-like glass. For heavy, coarse, tricky hair you need to work a lot. Great looking & superb quality and one of the smoothest razors though.

A beauty! This is the aggressive option? I haven’t used a SE razor before, but I lust over the Le Foulx and the Le Maurice. Do you have anything in the DE world you’d compare this to in terms of aggression?

Yes this is the ++ but I have heard a +++ in the offing. A cool aspect of AC format is you can dial up or down aggression with blade choice.

I am a daily 3 pass plus touch up shaver and I get Ti Bird close shaves with amazing comfort using Kai Protouch MG (guarded) blades. Just mind bendingly smooth, comfortable, and efficient.

I get WR2 1.25 closeness with WR2 .85 comfort as a DE analogy

It is rapidly becoming the GOAT of my collection- DE or SE.

Hope this helps.
