Are these counterfeit Polsilvers?

I have 200 of those as well, from shaving.ie. I think I got some of the last ones he had. I haven’t used them yet and have been hesitant to open a box knowing that they are not replaceable. I don’t know much about the various iterations of Polsilvers but I think these pre-date the change to iridium coating. I must try one to compare with the iridium coated Wizamet. The common view I hear in Poland is that the iridium coating was an improvement, but I don’t know.

By the way, it always surprises expats in Poland (like me) when they first learn that the city of Łodz is pronounced “Wudge”. None of the letters are pronounced the way they look.

they give a high number of shaves per blade...I remember getting at least 8-10 a blade

I often wonder how New Old Stock (NOS) manages to survive in that condition often for a very long time.  This explains some of it I'm sure.  I've also occasionally wondered how much NOS gets tossed out as just some guy's old junk.  I figure if you've got good stuff, use it.  Sure, you may run out of it but there will be other good stuff coming along.

Yeah these are the ones from Lodz in Poland, I believe.
I got a tuck of 10 from shaving.ie and enjoyed them.
While they were very very close to the Polsilvers in the blue pack, the blades seemed somehow heavier,
with some mass to them.

In those days, you could purchase 200 of them at a go but I wasn't interested....I'd take them in a flash
now but of course they're all gone.

I saw a listing on B&B a week ago where a fellow wanted to trade these blades.

But he wanted a wolfman for them hehehe.

T28, lol, I’m trying my hardest NOT to break a smile here whilst typing.  This is what I’m talking about…..camaraderie, shaving, opinion, being decent.  No one has to be besties but damn, ANY FORM OF MANNERS.  It’s like they were raised in a refuse container……

Anyway, yes, these are pretty sweet and from Łódź. Wonder if your guy over at B&B would take the cash equivalent of a Wolfie pre-October 2021 prices? Let me know, sounds like a better deal than a Cu Stars & Stripes.  Nice thing about blades is I could always use the non-bristled end of a toothbrush with the blade affixed as a shavette.

I’ve got a line on real deal London Bridge from a scally that wants me to meet him in “Blades at Hush Mayfair, on Park Street, a quiet backwater off St James’s.” I only know a few things about this place:

For the one millionth time, blades are COATED with PTFE (Teflon) or a similar proprietary product and that is what imparts the smoothness, not the sharpness. Any mention of chromium, tungsten, ceramic, iridium, etc., is merely an element (or alloy thereof) that is SPUTTERED onto the blade EDGE. The entire blade is not treated/coated as such as they would cost a small fortune. These elements are sputtered onto blades to harden the edge to make it last longer. The edge is so small that it will cut hair despite being coated with Teflon. 

Sputtering is a plasma based deposition process in which energetic ions are accelerated towards a target. The ions strike the target and atoms are ejected (or sputtered) from the surface. ... These collisions cause an electrostatic repulsion which 'knock off' electrons from the sputtering gas atoms, causing ionization.

Again, only the leading edge is sputtered with hard elements/alloys. Today's Spot Price for iridium is $6,100.00 per troy oz. It would be cheaper to use gold for the sake of argument.
