Yes, I would love to get one.  Quite a few years ago I purchased the reformulated No. 89.  It was so bad that I actually wrote or e-mailed Floris.  They were absolutely amazing and more than made good by sending me a different shave soap and its matching aftershave. Included was a hand written note written using a fountain pen (and for those who know me they know that is a huge plus. Smile ). In the note was an acknowledgement that the reformulated soap had problems.   While we know how great our merchants here at DFS are, Floris proved to me that there is no excuse for the big boys not to do the same when it comes to customer service.

Having said that, I would still like to get my hands on an original formulation of Floris No. 89.

Thank you, Jerry and Freddy. It's simply just a case of looking in the right place at the right time. And, this week I stumbled across a few more bowls of the No.89 which should be arriving within the next couple of weeks. As John would no doubt confirm, these tallow versions are excellent. I have just acquired a couple of Vintage Floris verbena sticks which must date back to the mid 50's/early 60's, I guess, and still performance is stunning.

Freddy, I've contacted Floris on a couple of occasions and, like yourself, was met with superb customer service.

where are you headed off to?

Bahamas Disney cruise.

sweet. a guy at work went on a Disney cruise with his wife and kid last year and loved it. the disney cruise ships really will spoil you - they're top notch from what I know.

I did a 7-day on a carnival cruise last March around the Caribbean.

Thanks! The more I smell it, the scent is more complex than just Bay Rum IMO.
