The box of samples arrived yesterday, and it includes a great array of scents. I am especially glad to have an opportunity to try Ethos after reading so many good things about it. And Kentucky Rain!

Woohoo, glad it arrived safe and sound. Enjoy them.

That generous size sample Kentucky Rain is courtesy of Dave in KY . Thanks for participating, Dave (even without knowing it, lol).

I can't believe it has been 11 days since I provided any update. I was suddenly called out of town for over a week, and I did not pack these. So far, I have enjoyed both Ethos varieties very much as well as Sir Henry's Kentucky Rain. I really enjoy floral scents, and the HSSC Kootenay Blossom did not disappoint tonight; a very nice choice for the second day of Spring, even if it is unusually cold in SC this week.

I do not see anyone else signed up for the passaround. Might it gain more attention if posted in the Soaps & Creams or Buy/Sell/Trade areas?

I didn't post a pass around, figured each person can post it if/when they decide to send it on. That way there's no pressure to send it off at any given time, or even at all. The choice is yours, lol.

Glad you're enjoying them so far Eric!

Scentsless Shaver
Oakland, ME
Just dropping by to let you know that Sylvester has moved from my Tribble brush (he thanks you again!) to my wife's powder brush! She has this big powder brush (22mm?) with a long handle and uses it for applying/thinning/spreading a medicated powder around her ostomy. After doing an appliance change, I wash the brush and let it dry on the counter. Which is where Sylvester found it and carried it off, forcing us to find an alternative as we were mid-change and didn't have time to go scouting for the brush! I now let the brush dry on top of the ostomy supply kit, inside a closet, with the door shut!!

I have been thoroughly enjoying the bounty and variety of soap samples. I was especially eager to experience Ethos and Sir Henry's Kentucky Rain. (They exceeded my expectations!)

I would like to pass these along to the next interested whisker whacker. Seems appropriate to post here first so that mrdoug 's friends get a fair opportunity. If no one shows interest here in a few days, I will post more broadly in Buy/Sell/Trade. Here is a picture of the included soaps.

The longer they are in my possession, I cannot guarantee one or two will still be available SmileSmile. Much thanks, Paul.

So, I've had a lot of mildly irritating shaves recently, nothing too bad. Included with that had been a lot of tiny blood spots. This has been the real issue.

I believe my skin is getting irritated, and inflamed through the shave. As it raises up around the hair shaft, I'm more prone to nick myself. So, I tried cutting back, giving it time to heal. I'm now shaving to every third day. While I have only done two so far, it's been a lot better. So, I'm going to continue at this glacial pace and see how it works in the long run.

Not sure why I posted this other than perhaps to see if anyone else feels this is sound thinking. I could try less passes ... No atg passes... etc. However, I would absolutely hate the shave if I'm not close to BBS.

See if this works Paul. If not I say try 2 passes and skip atg. Closeness isn't worth constant discomfort. Best wishes

Thanks Dave. Hopefully it won't go that far. If I can't get rid of the issue with a longer time between, I'd rather endure the nicks and irritation or even use a cart, rather than go scruffily shaved. Fingers crossed it works though.

Additionally, from the April acquisition thread... An update on my purchase from Shave Shack Texas:

I do believe I'm now at the stage where they ignore the customer and hope he goes away. The lady I spoke with seemed fairly skeptical, as if I don't know what I'm talking about (...and I guess the shave community too, since I bounced it off you folks as well). Sigh.

Paid via PayPal, I guess it's time to bring them into the mix.
