I checked the Razo Rock titanium baby smooth and it is all titanium. I think I can see what Henson was trying to do. There is no doubt that on this razor the threads don’t screw in/out smoothly. They’re not binding or cross threading but are by no means silky smooth in operation which is probably what Henson wanted on their premium razor. This razor also has lots of tool marks.

Pre-shave: Stirling Glacial Post Shave Balm

Shave: Karve Overlander - Personna Comfort Coated (2) - Turn N Shave Half-Gel Shoat - Hendrix Classics Havana Breeze Soap

Post-shave: Alum block - Aloderma 99% Aloe vera gel

What a good shave. I am starting to be quite impressed with this Overlander. It's only been two shaves, but it really has done a great job. Smooth as the day is long, and still efficient enough to give me a BBS if i do all three passes and clean-up. Other razors this smooth could never give me a BBS - not with 6 passes. Lol.

Some parts of the shave didn't perform as well as others. For example, the shoat brush really is not a stellar brush. I promised myself I'd see it through, so I'm back to break-in lathers for another 10 days. That should put it at the upper limits of what it takes. If it's no good still at the end, it's getting torn out and I'm going to get a Maggards 26 to fill the handle. No more dealing with a bursh that's a piece of shoat. (couldn't help myself)

I also tried the Alum block as Marko suggested. Honestly, I don't like alum as a post shave too much. Nonetheless, it did the job fine. Finished it with some aloe for the skin healing and hydrating properties.

Happy Friday DFS!

I probably should. No sense forcing it, if it's being so difficult.

The Maggards, in comparison, breaks in with just zero shaves. Lol. Honestly, it does take a few to get it to stop eating lather. But they're soft as soft can be from the get-go.

Just got this... Lol. Guess their notifications and their order systems are connected. Time to manually turn it off.

Anyone interested, it's hitting the sleeves tonight![Image: fb7aed7a0b26467753f6ece4608a1f12.jpg]

* Kudos to them for pushing hard to restock.

I didn't buy the stand. Just checked the site, says $98.06 for the razor and 39.22 for the stand. So, I guess 137.27? (Plus shipping)

Just checked their site, it look like $160 CAD and up as free shipping. That seems to translate to roughly 119 US dollars. So I guess If I had bought the stand I would have gotten free shipping.

Also, I didn't pay any tax. Guess that makes sense. It's not like the US government can force the Canadian company to pony up. Lol.
