I think you may have just sold me on the Rocca. It is a beautiful razor from the looks of it.
I doubt I could really tell the difference between Astra SP and Astra SS in a blind shave test, but for some reason I prefer the SPs.
Both give good performance for the price, and the SPs were my go-to blades until I discovered Shaverboy blades.
I once hyper-miled an Astra SP to 100 shaves, but really I should've quit at 80 or so.

I use both the Astra SP and the Astra SS and what I use is just what I'm in the mood for. To me, they are very close in sharpness, comfort, etc. I have others that I like as much or better like the recently discovered (for me) Tiger Platinum. Unless a blade just doesn't agree with me for some reason, I am quite happy to use it. Blades I am not fond of such as Zorrik, Dorco, and Feather I just don't bother using. The Astra SS, though, happily remains in my rotation.

It depends upon your preferences for sharpness and smoothness. Astra SS has a great balance of sharpness and smothness. Nacets are a little sharper, but not quite as smooth.
So I got a few shaves under my belt with the Astra Stainless. They're okay. I still prefer the Platinum blades. The stainless blades were definitely smoother, but I think my face is just accustomed to the Platinum blades. I got some minor razor burn on my neck line and nicks from the stainless blades which surprised me. This isn't an issue I typically have. Overall a decent blade, but not better than the Platinum Astra's for me.

Yup Tiger Platinum is My Choice no irritation smooth shave & use em 3 times and dispose em.
Also Tatra is a same company smooth and just as Tiger Platinum Performance.
I’m glad I discover them by Jim Will Shave on YouTube

It sounds like the Astra SP blades are sharp enough for you and you do not need/want the sharper edge of the SS blades. Also, it depends on the razor. I can only use Astra SP blades in a very aggressive razor where a SS blade would be too sharp. But in a moderately aggressive razor Astra SS blades are perfect for me, which Astra SP blades are not sharp enough.
Just keep the SS blades in the back of the drawer. As you age, you may find that you beard gets a lot tougher. Once your beard turns grey and then white, the ASP blade may no longer be your preferred blade. It does not happen to everyone. There are plenty of senior citizens whose beard never became coarse, but I also know plenty whose beards are like steel wool and very sharp blades are needed to get the job done.

Very wise words.
I've spun around the Sun 73 times now and my taste in razors/blades has altered from years ago.
Tech and Super Speed for years then the Timeless .68 OC stainless razor.
Now the stainless Karve #F, and #G plates are my 'go to'.
Not because my technique has improved that much, but I find I now need the more aggressive razor and sharper blade.
The Karve #G with a Feather is a sweet shaver.
