Steve, of Alpha Shaving, mentioned on another forum that you could email him directly to receive the free stand deal. It was presented in the context of an offer for forum members. I imagine that extends to all forums. Regardless, it would probably be worth reaching out to him if anyone is considering a purchase of this razor.

The first shave with my new Alpha Spirit yielded excellent results.  I'd say the shave is very close to my La Faulx +, and the La Faulx is my Top Dog.  I used a new Kai Protouch MG.

The only negative I can give thus far, and it's not much of a negative, is the fit and finish of the head is not up to the same quality as the handle.  To try and put this in perspective, in terms of fit and finish, I'd give the handle a 10 and the head a 9 because I see machining marks in the safety bar and the top cap appears to have a brushed appearance whereas the handle is lightly polished. 

But the quality of the shave, ooohh yeah, very nice. 

I'll also say the quality of the box is very nice and gives a good presentation.
