Very, very nice packaging with the Spirit by Alpha. One shave in and this little razor can dice & slice the whiskers with some authority and yet it has a very easy and smooth like feel to it in action. Slightly a bit better cutting ability over the Claymore Evo while nearly retaining the same level of smoothness and very easy to use & maneuver. A very impressive first shave.

A few pics below. Not the best, my apologies….

Shave two and nothing but, pure shaving excellence. The Proline on its second use with the Spirit was so buttery smooth and yet so effective in taking down the whiskers. Just superb comfort without a hint of blade harshness. There is a bit of blade feel but, it really has a real nice balance of cutting effect and smoothness. Nimble and just easy to throw around that one is running with this thing in a couple of strokes. Just an excellent shave experience so far. I’ll probably run this blade until it’s done, then move on to the Feather Pro’s.

Great shaves to all…

Alpha has a winner here Gents. Smooth and comfortable while mean & lean on the whiskers. The Spirit offers a very, very effective combination of both that will work for the far majority of wet shavers from newbie to seasoned vet. It has been a true pleasure to use with the Schick Proline and I can only imagine that with a Feather Pro & Super it will shine just as good if not better, especially with a Feather Pro Super. Those are coming soon enough. But, for the moment, it’s simply spectacular with this current set up. It’s an almost thoughtless shave with the Proline regardless of what pass one is in ATG, WTG & XTG as it handles every stage of the shave effectively and smoothly. The Spirit has blade feel that is on the medium to lower end of the scale and if one is looking for an audible savant, you’re not getting it here. The sound is rather muted but, visually it’s a stunner in that you see those whiskers disappear with ease at each stroke. You combine that smooth feeling with effective whisker cutting to a package that feels light, well balanced & is easy to maneuver about the face and neck, we’re talking about a razor made of a high quality alloy that offers a total package in the sub $200 price range. That’s a well rounded product offered at a very competitive price point. If you want Asylum RX or El Jefe type feel on the skin, this is not for you. However, if you like Gillette Tech type feel with performance in the Vector type range, this might be your huckleberry in the Artist Club Razor segment.

Bravo Alpha, Bravo…. Happy

Vector is more nimble and much more efficient.

La Faulx ++ is very much smoother with a bit more efficiency.

True, the Spirit may be less efficient than the Vector, but it also delivers a more comfortable shave.
The La Faulx is smoother, but not as nimble as the Spirit.
For me this puts the Spirit somewhere between the Vector and La Faulx. What it loses on the shave result vs the La Faulx, it makes up for with maneuverability.

Inaugural Shave 10 out 10 Shave… It was a super comfortable shave while taking 3 days growth down without an issue. I used the Schick blade, it has mild feeling while I’m very surprised at it’s high efficiency.
