I just shaved my melon with my Outlaw. Smooth, efficient shave. The finish is perfect and the shave is nice. This is a great razor at a great price.

First use for me was great. After the beard I typically I do a one pass ATG head shave (one lather more accurately). With most DEs I do pick-ups with a SE (my Enders Speed) or with the triple DE blade Leaf. The mark of an exceptional DE is one where I'm not tempted to reach for the pick-ups razor or relather for a second pass. The Outlaw rings that bell putting it in some very good company.

Well I borrowed one from a friend that likes mild razors, he found the outlaw to be too much for his face, myself on the other hand find this razor to be in my sweet spot, a comfortable shave that was very close, this razor feels mild but the shave it delivers is very close, this razor strikes a great balance in my books what I’m looking for in a daily shaver. BTW I’m now a proud Outlaw owner

I received an aluminum brush and an Outlaw razor in the mail.  I did not use the brush because I don’t have a great way to clean it after use, but I did pull it out and have a look at it.  It looks well made and is very heavy.  I really like it.

I completed 3 shaves with the Outlaw razor.  All shaves were 3 passes.  The blade I used for all shaves was a Wizamet fresh from the package.  I also used Maggard Razors Unscented Preshave Oil for all shaves.  My only change between the shaves was the soap;  first shave – Stirling Boat Drinks, second shave – Declaration Grooming Original, third shave – WSP Fougere Noir.

Here are my observations:

First, this is a well made razor.  It looks great, and fit and finish is excellent.  Yes, the underside or the top cap has light machine marks, but you’d never see it with the razor together.  At the price point, I’m impressed.  Second, the rails on the baseplate are something I’ve never seen before.  The design is interesting as it puts flex on the blade and means no blade chatter.  Lastly,  the handle has excellent knurling.  I really like it.  You can grip this razor when your hands are wet and slick.  The two-tone look of the razor (between the head and the handle) is different and I appreciate it.

Now, about the shave.  For me, all my shaves turned out exactly the same.  One word – AWESOME.  I started all of my shaves WTG.  I didn’t even think the razor was taking any hair away.  Very little sound and very smooth feeling as you use the razor.  I looked at the cream on the razor and it was full of hair.  I then did a second pass ATG.  Same thing.  Very smooth feeling and very quiet.  Cream once again full of hair.  Third and final pass was XTG.  This is usually where I’ll get bit on my jawline, but this razor is just super smooth.  I rinsed my face and did a check; BBS and no nicks or cuts. I have a Wolfman WR2 1.15 closed comb.  It shaves almost exactly like it.  It’s uncanny.  I really enjoyed shaving with this razor.  It’s one of the best I’ve ever used.

Ok razor and brush off to Hawaii. Use the razor and brush one time use enough to give a review for me after owning over 50 razors. The brush handle is absolutely beautiful and feels great in the hand the synthetic knot was just OK for me as I prefer more of a pillow feel and this I could feel the tips. The razor shaved very well, They can be used everyday or with a few days growth it is mid aggressive and smooth and the handle and the knurling are excellent. Anybody looking for a stainless steel DE razor at a good price this is an excellent value for them for me I've many other highend razors that I would prefer

A fantastic shaver well balanced between efficiency, aggression and comfort. I keep coming back to it because it's so consistent. For Steve's first effort it's a home run. BTW my razor arrived with a bent bar from the shipping. I was able to bend it back close to original and it shaved well but Steve sent along a pristine base plate so I would have a perfect razor. Great service and a great product. Highly recommended...and a bargain too.
