The fact that I'm very prone to ingrowns and bumps if a shave doesn't go too well, and that I've come to the realization that skipping the WTG pass ( and sometimes, the XTG) provides me with much better results, my interest has definitely been piqued.
Thanks for the summary.

It may be worth a try. I do not have a problem with bumps as my beard is coarse enough so they do not tend to turn under. However, I have generally heard that those who are subject to bumps should ONLY shave WTG and NEVER ATG. But every shaver is different, so experiment until you learn what works for you.

I've been using Kairos 4.7 that Mo sent me to test and was going to write a long summary of my experience. Rayclem did such a great job of it that all I really need to say is I agree with him completely. This is one outstanding soap/cream , the lather is slick, rich, and cushioning. The scent is clean , fresh and mild. Mo has outdone himself again.

Kairos 4.7 is Mohammad's best work to date! It lathers easily to become a dense protective slick cream. The secondary slickness after a pass is amazing. Even with most of the lather removed from your face after a pass, the remaining residual slickness is enough to complete another pass. The lather is so luxurious you don't want to remove it from your face. After a 4 pass shave, my face feels irritation free and post shave comfort lasts 12 hours. So good!

Is 4.7 the production release version or are there more iterations planned?

Thank you asking gregcss

Production will be based 4.8 or 4.9. But it's getting very close now.

I’m especially looking forward to ‘Amare’. The Scent description sounds heavenly, and I love the art work chosen. I’m hoping to have this one before Valentines Day.

+1  Same here, except I haven't seen the scent description.  But I do think the art work is beautiful (and delightfully à propos), and I am looking forward to to Amare.

Could you restate or reference the scent description please?

[font=Roboto, RobotoDraft, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][font=Roboto, RobotoDraft, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif][font=Helvetica, sans-serif]Greetings,

I have decided to reduce the number of soap formulas Grooming Dept offers. Moving forward, there will only be three formulas: Nai, which is a vegan formula, Kairos, a tallow formula, and Mallard which is a duck fat formula.

I know many customers have been waiting for Angel. There will be one last Angel release which is a lamb tallow soap and one final release of the DonkeyBase, which be the unscented Asinus.

The next release is underway. Soon, I hope to announce the release date for the four soaps which now you can see on the site.

Thank you for your business and support.

Best,
Mohammad Abe

Never mind TheHunter.   Thanks to conservator,  I went to the GDept site and saw this:

Scent Notes; Fruits, Coconut, Spices, Florals, Vetiver, Musk Ambrette, Sandalwood, Oakmoss, Woodsy notes, and vanilla.

I am stoked.
