I'm so glad you like it! It truly takes a Herculean effort to make Mandarin stand out and linger, just like I did with Luxor and Mandarin Bay. Mandarin Bay features four varieties of authentic Bay Rum essential oils. And you're not imagining it—this Optimus release is denser than the previous one. Your photo is incredible; it could rival the labels—I’m jealous!

That Coconut Fig is amazing

I've been using these soaps pretty much every day and switching between Maxima and Optimus. This version of Maxima is super special. It's got the best feel and my shaves  are nothing short of outstanding every time. I've been using a vector with probably the most hyper aggressive Feather artist club super SE blade and the passes feel buttery smooth. I've always said no soap could fix poor technique or the wrong cutting edge, but now I'm not so sure. I'm normally not able to shave every day with this blade because it shaves so damn close, but I'm doing it with Maxima.  Doesn't get much better.

This Optimus is definitely improved since the last few TRC soaps, but note there are way more ingredients listed in the newer iteration, FWIW. Its still better than most of the artisan goop I've tried in the past, but I can't say it will take the crown from Maxima.

As far as the scents from this drop- I like them quite a bit and probably have grown most fond of Fleur d'Iris.

Was hoping to try Max but then again am thrilled with Mallard

On deck for tomorrow morning! Both smell great off the puck, I’m excited to lather them up and see how the scents open up. Mallard is my all time favorite from AS, but I’m excited to try the Optimus base.
