It sounds like Mohammad finally got the UPS orders to the dropoff on Wednesday, Jan 29. Mine still does not show up in the tracking system. As I have more than enough soaps already (nearly 80 in my active rotation), I told Mo that he could ship my order last. That way, I figured that when mine shipped, all other would be shipped as well. I hope most of the orders have left Santa Rosa, CA and are on their way to the various destinations around the world.

Surprise, Surprise!!!
When I checked the UPS tracking early this morning, it said that my package still had not been received by UPS.
When I got home mid-morning, I found that my package had arrived.
The package was shipped to my local post office and they delivered it to my home.
Go figure!

Each of the five soaps I ordered seem to have nice scents.

The Optimus aftershave is in a rather plain bottle compared to the other aftershaves I have received from Aion Skincare, but I purchased it for the juice inside the bottle, not for the bottle itself.

All's well that ends well!

I hope by now, all packages are well on their way.and that you will enjoy the contents.

I do not know how many of you ordered the new Optimus aftershave, but if you didn't, you missed a treet. The new formula contains witch hazel vs the older formulations with water and an emulsifier. I HATE alcohol based aftershaves as they irritate my sensitive skin. I remember the old Mennen Skin Bracer commercials that said applying it was like getting a slap in the face. I do not know about you, but I do not like getting a slap.

Witch hazel contains approximately 15% alcohol. That is just the right amount to burn if you get a poor shave, but not enough to irritate if you got a DFS. The small percentage of alcohol is good for dissolving fragrance chemicals and other skin conditioners. I purchased the Fleur D' Iris aftershave. I applied the aftershave this afternoon and give it a big thumb's up. I was not a big fan of the previous water based aftershaves. I can definitely recommend the new formulation as long as you pick the right scent.

The scent of the Fleur D' Iris soap is pleasant, but somewhat on the light side. When lathering this soap, I plan to add a few drops of the matching aftershave to the lather to enhance the scent.

Over the coming weeks, Mohammad will be shipping products to his preferred vendors. If you were not able to order a scent you desired on Black Friday, you should be able to order from your nearest vendor and receive shipment a few days later.

I was planning to wait until Saturday morning to try out one of the new soaps, but after waiting so long to receive them, I just could not wait any longer. This morning at 5:15 am, I warmed up my shave bowl, soaked my brush and started to lather the new Optimus soap. I selected the Fleur D' Iris scent I noted in the previous post. The first thing I noticed was that the scent really opened up upon lathering. While the scent was somewhat subdued off the puck, I started picking up other subtle scent notes as I built my lather.

1. The soap loads quickly. 8--10 seconds load time should be sufficient.
2. The soap lathers quickly. 30 seconds of bowl lathering produced a lather ready to apply to my face.
3. The lather feels great on the face.
4. I easily got a DFS with zero irritation.
5. My face feels very nice after the shave. We will have to wait another 24 hours to see how long that feeling lasts.
Because I want to evaluate the post shave performance, I did not apply the wonderful matching aftershave.

Although  Optimus is priced less than Mallard and Maxima, the performance is quite close.
While it is not an inexpensive soap, I consider it to be a bargain.

I have also noticed that the latest Mallard soaps' scent off the puck does not match that lathered: the lathered scent being both much more appealing and stronger

Thank you to everyone for your patience and kindness. I hope you’re enjoying the new soaps and aftershaves.

Optimus is a remarkable formula. The lather builds with astonishing speed, creating a consistency that delivers an exceptional slickness rarely found in other soap bases.

The new aftershave is equally distinctive. It provides outstanding richness and moisture retention, making it a truly special addition to your daily ritual.

The scent from the soap jars is noticeably different from the fragrance that emerges when the soap blooms. I carefully select ingredients that thrive in high pH environments and require water to fully develop and come alive. This is a hallmark of my scent design, ensuring long-lasting fragrances—jars over four years old still smell amazing to this day.

RayClem is absolutely right—the jars are poured with significantly more than the labeled amount. Most contain 5.5, 5.75, or even 6 ounces. This is a tradition I’ll proudly continue! Smile

I've received mine today- Fleur d'Iris, Cedarwood, Tenebres, Reverence, and Oud fruit.

The most interesting would be Tenebres. A wild scent that I've smelled nothing else like it. If you're deep into the fragrance rabbit hole this is one you want.

The safest bet is Cedarwood. Would pair perfectly with something like Terre d'Hermes edt.

The iris soap is high end spa like I guess- floral and clean. I havent lathered it but I suspect it will change a lot with use.

Reverence is another really interesting one. The scents materials Tonka and cedar give off a darker musky scent. This one is very nice and I'm looking forward to lathering it.

Oud fruit is wild. Jammy oud. Probably the most fun of these scents. Not a safe scent for those with a fragrance inexperienced nose, but its a fun one.

Really doesn't get much better than this. They're all fun and interesting soaps. I lathered up Tenebres first and it's just ridiculous lather. It was worth the wait. Thank you Mo!

I used Pomp soap/AS this morning, truly a beautiful, refined scent. The performance was excellent.
