They were a very limited run.  Evidently, the precision involved made mass production completely unfeasible.  I know Matt at Razor Emporium is friends with the maker, so he might be able to provide more detail.  That was a razor I might be willing to save up for a while to spend $500 on as long as it came with a lifetime warranty like the Rex.

Matt also said in his video: if he had made this razor, he would have charged around 1-2K. 
$500 is not a fair price, I think he didn't make any profit, he might even have a loss.

They are collectors item now. You want a Toggle style razor a vintage Gillette is your only option.

Very interesting. The first thing I thought of when I saw those pictures was the Rockwell. It looks like it's going to be a twist adjustable like the other ones, but it's gonna come with the shims? I don't know too much about shimming, but I'm assuming you can add those to increase the gaps of the adjustments?
