Ok guys, anyone know someone in Europe or Russia that can buy the new Taiga Slant and ship them to us? We won’t be able to purchase from the US because of the sanctions on Russia.

The main hurdle is not shipping...it's moving money. I have read that some countries still have payment systems with Russia
operational. I guess countries like India, China, Turkey, Iran....if you know someone there.

One of the best performing razors made in the last decade regardless of country of origin.

Agreed. I find 2 and 3 my most used settings, occasionally straying to 4 for a dense growth.
Been using it every day for a few months now. Even cleaned and packed away the Sailor.

- REX Ambassador
- REX Konsul
- Rockwell Model-T
- Rockwell Model-T2
- Rockwell Model-T2 SS (added 12th Feb Australian time)
- YAQI The Final Cut (Zamak)
- YAQI The Final Cut (Brass)
- YAQI Ultima (Diamond RAASS2352 - Stainless Steel) (added 18th Oct 2023)
- Tatara Muramasa
- GSC FATGUY (The lesser said the better)
- Pearl Flexi
- Parker Variant
- Merkur Futur
- PAA Ascension (If you wanna include that)
- Rockwell 6S (If you wanna include those types)
- One that I paid for that never reached my hands from the manufacturer. (They shall remain nameless)
- WEISHI Butterfly Open Double Edge Safety Razor Nostalgic Adjustable Matte Black (forgot about this one)

I'm find myself more so on the mild end of the adjustments scale.

Edit: (02-12-2023) Added the new Model-T2 SS (Stainless Steel) and remembered about the WEISHI
That's all that comes to mind right now. I am interested to see what comes of the Rockwell Model-T Stainless Steel that should be released/announced soon.

Edit: (11-19-2023) Added Yaqi Ultima razor to the lineup. It needs some improvements to get it right but it is a very nice once fixed.

You know, you bring up an interesting point. Not to harp on it long or drag this out but, I truly believe that the Rocnel Sailor is at least equal to the Taiga and I actually prefer the Sailor in the lower ranges from 0-3 as it feels equally as smooth as the Taiga but, it gives the slightest bit of more blade feel and is the better performer for me in those ranges. In the upper size ranges the Sailor loses out slightly on the smoothness on face feel while the Taiga comes into its own with excellent smoothness and still being amazingly efficient in reducing whisker growth in those higher gap sizes. The Sailor can still be used in those upper ranges but, for me the shave gets very blade forward as face feel and ease of feel is lost for a more aggressive feel with substantially more blade feel on the skin. One can shave with the Sailor in those upper gap sizes and the "overclocked" stages but, it just won't be as comfortable and easy as with the Taiga. It actually becomes more harsh. At least that has been my experience with the Sailor. But, in the lower ranges the Sailor is practically unbeatable and unlike any other adjustable where 0 or 1 has been a point of contention for many shavers where those other razors don't or barely cut, the Sailor shows amazing effectiveness over all others.

Sorry, I dragged it out anyways.... Sick

Oh they're both fantastic razors...I think I reach for theTaiga consistently because of its weight (68gm)
Even with the sailor, I mostly stick with setting 2 or 3. (1 or Dot for very sensitive areas and passes)

Talked to a friend in China and he was told that Home Like Shaving can’t take payments from any other countries right now. You have to find someone in Russia to purchase.

I only have a few adjustables, no vintage pups.
I have to say I really enjoy my Pearl Flexi ( latest run).
Now yes, Pearl has had some design and quality control issues, to say the least.
I still think they need to get a handle on it.
But the Flexi I have has been rock solid. Nice smooth shave, mine is a tank and built rock solid.
Yep, it is another gibbs off shoot...
The Rex Ambassador and Konsul look great but with 4 kids, college and more...350 is not happening.....

Are Janus razors a thing? Their website seems to have nothing on the shop page.

They were a very limited run. Evidently, the precision involved made mass production completely unfeasible. I know Matt at Razor Emporium is friends with the maker, so he might be able to provide more detail. That was a razor I might be willing to save up for a while to spend $500 on as long as it came with a lifetime warranty like the Rex.
