Decided I didn't see it as knocking me out due to these circumstances and no other purchases have been or will be made...............

Well, well, well, what is all this then?  You're claiming the defence of earlier intent to purchase?  Frank's Bay Rum?  A Bay Rum I might add that I have been unable to acquire despite the fact that I have an actual medical need for Bay Rum?? (seriously, I have a doctors' note). I must say that in the circumstances I am not feeling very charitable.  Not very charitable at all.  (did I mention my medical condition?). I would say this all hinges on the very tiniest of technicalities, that being, did you actually place a firm and binding order with Frank for the "delayed" Bay Rum such that there was an offer, acceptance and consideration thus resulting in the formation of a binding contract of purchase and sale, albeit a contract with an indeterminate date upon which the contract would be performed?  If you can establish all of this to the satisfaction of the tribunal, aka the DFS mob, then you would still be considered under Damn Fine Restraint for 2023, however, if you can only establish that you had the intention in 2022 to acquire the Bay Rum at some indeterminate point when it became available (to some at least) but did not actually place the order and make payment until after midnight December 31, 2022 then you are out.  Technically.  If this is the case, we'll let you continue as if you were in notwithstanding being out.  We would do that because we are what is known as "good guys" Smile

Marko That's funny and I see MaineYooper already jumped on the "good guys" train and quick he was, haha Eric is a good dude.
Dave my friend glad you are a joker too.
I have little resist to purchases so I might join in the 2023 restraint.

I have the email on Oct 19th telling Frank to set aside these 3 items for me when released on and he stated he would do that and let me know how to pay. He also stated he would be sending me another soap we discussed from his BST when he shipped. So you see, I was contractually committed. No worries either way if accepted by the "Mob" or not, I'll carry on as my commitment to the 2023 no buy is just as sincere. Everyone sleep well, Cheers Big Grin

The good natured busting of each other’s chops is a big part of Damn Fine Restraint     Tongue Of all the products in shavedom that raised the first question it had to be bay rum. I had no idea when I got into this shaving thing that bay rum was habit forming. Still, it’s a beautiful obsession.

You DO NEED to get a set because you are a bigger Bay Rum Advocate than me and have the most complete collection of Bay Rum I know of !
