Will do.  Was very impressed by the MC (absent, y'know, parts falling off  Big Grin), so hopefully the 2022 will match.  I hope it's a post, because then maybe the Rex stand will work.  Bummer trying to find 15 & 4/5 mm inkwell stands....

As an additional insight now that I have a view of the bottom of the razor, I can see no purpose for the medallion to be resin-bonded. There is no connection from the adjustment column to the interior of the razor. The adjustment knob/column is just a hollow bar of steel, drilled and countersunk, perhaps to better distribute the weight. It could just as well have been cast or milled from a solid bar (except perhaps for weight distribution), and engraved on the end (again, weight was probably a factor) . Consequently, the medallion is a dead plug, with no function except cosmetic, and could just as well have been permanently swaged, welded or threaded into the handle. As far as I can tell, it never needs to come out. Perhaps in a future design....

Perhaps there's a silver lining in all of this
It probably makes for a lighter razor

PS. I only joking around..this could happen to me too...seems like just a matter of time.
Does not detract from what a great adjustable this is.

I'm not sure of how the bottom of the new 2022 Sailors are like, but I suspect it is the same as the standard 2021 edition that was released earlier this year (meaning it has a hole for a stand that has a post).

To each his own, but since we are at the topic of comparing hyper cars to such a razor, I think a Bugatti is more fitting- expensive, heavy, luxurious, and you can open it up wide like no tomorrow Smile

I'll let you know re-the 2022 in about two weeks....

And it will be one sweet lemonade for sure! Nothing beats a Rocnel in terms of a posh shave, IMO.

I elected to pass on the gilded version for now, but gave me the opportunity to re-orient to satisfy my OCD when fully cranked-down:

This one is not coming out on its own Big Grin.  But good to know I can get a re-do later if I want....

What did you use to secure it?

Loctite 480 - in fact Murat offered to send me some.  It's considered a semi-permanent bonding agent, so I understand Murat's reason for using it.  I'm assuming if he needs to repair any of them, he wants to be able to easily separate the bond (operating temperature is up to 100C, so boiling will loosen it), although in the case of the medallion as I observed, there's no reason to ever remove it (except to give it the Louis XIV finishing touch if you wanted later Tongue}.  He did confirm that the head on the RSMC is swaged and bonded, so unlikely to ever have a head separation.
