Hello. For what it's worth, I placed my order on July 30th for the MC, and I haven't been notified that my razor has shipped, yet. So, I can tell you that my order has not leapfrogged yours. Hopefully, your turn will be very soon.

Living on the edge
(This post was last modified: 10-12-2021, 08:29 AM by Tester28.)
Had a beastly 5 day growth waiting when this puppy arrived.
Chucked in a used Platinum and went to work.
WTG and ATG on 7....plus a XTG pass on the neck with 3.
Fantastic shave ... no nicks, no angle uncertainty, nothing. My fingers
do not meet even the slightest resistance when I rub my face in any direction.
The 2021 RSMC is a very well behaved razor.

Historically, I've not fared well with heavy razors, but this one produces good results effortlessly.
I can say that even on 7 the blade feel was rather muted...strange but very appealing.
Needless to say, this razor requires a very light touch or you'll suffer some irritation
and redness.

The springs used inside are super smooth and the settings dial operates like butter.
That's a plus over the Taiga for me. Finish didn't really inspire any thoughts, was within expectations.

Maybe it's my inexperience with heavy razors but I found myself gripping this one very firmly,
I also kept wiping it dry, along with my hands, because I was afraid it may slip out.
The knurling on this should be strengthened IMO. If this thing slips mid-shave, it will probably, crack
your wash basin, get bent or hurt your toe if it lands on it. No question at all.

All said and done...a whole lot of razors for the money. Imagine the entire spectrum of wolfman gaps
in one implement. Along with a unique smoothness that is hard to beat. If anything I think JD
needs to be lowering his prices, not raising them because a RSMC 2021 actually delivers more value.

And need I even say this: this razor in Ti would be a staggering achievement.

One suggestion to improve the product: include an instruction manual. Tell us what that silver button
is for.....is there a desired way to align the top cap while assembling the razor? Does the razor need servicing
during its lifespan? What about the springs? Is there a lifetime warranty ? And so on...

Murat may be one of the most buttoned down guys Ive done business with.
He doesn't forget any details.
I was also amazed to learn that he's actually quite young. He looks early to mid-30s to me.
Amazing talent for that (or any) age.

Yeah. My order was July 8th and from what I gathered through Murat’s Instagram posts and elsewhere he completed and shipped eight Sailor MCs last week and will have shipped all orders by the end of October. I guess yours may be in the next batch he finishes.

I'm glad to know I'm still online and good on the list. I was trying not to be a pest with Murat and let him work.
   Thanks for the info.

I found the handle to be extremely grippy, and more so than any other razor handle I’ve tried. It seemed that the knurling is so precise and sharp that the edges are like small barbs, but comfortable. But I certainly was aware of the weight of the razor and the potential consequences of dropping it, so I was ultra careful when handling it, turning it to use the other side, or otherwise adjusting where I was holding it. I didn’t feel that getting wet would reduce the grip. I just felt an ever-present fear of any clumsiness in my handling of the razor.

I guess I am no more likely to drop this razor than any other - perhaps less likely given the grippy handle. And I have never yet dropped any razor. Still, I agree it is hard not to think about it.

And I should add that even though I had SN 41 (no idea why), I had a Sailor order in quite a while and converted it to the MC when it became available, so maybe he just used original order dates.  I suspect if you have SN 9+ that the next batch will cover  a lot of pending orders.
