I haven’t gotten to the no-scritch point with mine, yet, but as I stated earlier, I don’t mind at all. Every use of the brush is a joy.

I’d be very interested in reading a comparison of the two knot types. I hope you enjoy the process of gathering this data. Smile

I did leave the lower 1/3 of the knot (making sure the water got nowhere near the base of the knot) emerged in water for 2 days on a countertop. I think that's what did it. I'm going to do the same with my traditional horse because that one does have a lot scritch, much more than the extra soft did originally.

That’s a great brush, too, but when it comes to even my Mühle STF XL, the handle is just a little dinky, and not very ergonomic. Also, Mühle sets the loft a little too high, in my opinion.

I’ve said this countless times in the past several years, and I’ll say it again: I wish Mühle would do the right thing, and sell Silvertip Fibre knots separately. (And more recently, I wish Zenith would do the same with their Extra Soft horse hair knots.)

The small handle is my only complaint about the Muhle. I actually like the high loft. You can buy Muhle Silvertip Fibre knots from Rudy Vey.

Just to clarify, all the currently available Muhle STF are V2 right? V1 isn't sold anymore?

Otherwise how to find V2?
