Zafirro, white sapphire blade razor

This is... interesting. I can actually see myself kinda getting behind this, and they even seem to have a working prototype! But sadly I can't justify(let alone afford) $200 for an as yet unproven product. Still, I'd like to see this get doing and by the looks of it it will, they are well past their goal already.

What do you guys think of this new razor?

Neat idea and one sure to take another bite out of the big companies.

Sapphire is used in watch crystals since it is so hard so I can see it being used in this application. Now that it funded and products start rolling out - maybe some of the shave bloggers will get their hands on a few and test them.

I'd need to know more. Two hundred dollars for a cartridge razor? I don't know.

I'm with you guys..I'd have to get feedback from actual shavers first.

A pass around with an almost permanent blade in it?  Not for me.  Remember, what truly makes this razor different is not it's style, gorgeous though it is, in my opinion, but rather a blade that is supposed to last at least a year. I wouldn't mind sharing a razor but I would blades.

Agreed on that all points, it does look great! They should make a safety razor look like that lol

It's just hard to get through my brain about a cart razor that lasts a year. I mean, if this pans out awesome! I won't probably move away from DE and SE razors, but still, that's a fantastic thing all the same

Very impressive. My limit is two Kickstarter type projects. The body of the razor is beautiful but how does it shave?
