Palmolive
Speick

Both of them are as good as Valobra, both are tallowated and without petrolatum, cocamide dea or any other unneeded ingredient. I use them when traveling, occasionally at home and always with bowl lathering which I'd prefer over face rub method.

My favourite is Mystic Water, but I can easily transfer any other great soap into an empty shave-stick container if I wanted to.
There are so many great soaps, nowadays.
What a great time to be wet-shaving. Smile

Saving through Spending
The few times I have used shave sticks I really liked them, I wish more artisans offered them! The only one I have ever used is PAA Club Guy, only problem with it is now that I like it enough to order all my favorite PAA scents he doesn't offer anything but Club Guy!

I used to like buying shave sticks because I could burn through them fairly quickly and then try something new. But I never liked the stick functionality so I always grated them. La Toja, Arko, Palmolive, Valobra. All good performers.

1)Tabac.
I think sticks are great cause virtually you can't miss soap amount )
The only thing i would like to mention is that dont try to use harder soaps, like OSP for example as sticks... it will work, but your skin will not say "thank you"

I've acquired a bunch of shave sticks randomly. I only think I've bought 1 in my life which was Arko. But I have:

* Arko
* Palmolive
* La Toja
* D.R. Harris Arlington (i think)

Have 2 empty containers on the way, may put a Stirling refill puck into one and maybe a Haslinger or something in the other.
On an eternal den clearing mission at this point.

There's something about the way a stick "gets the hairs to stand up" that usually results in a very good shave for me. Palmolive has always been my favourite, though in the past few years I've discovered Valobra sticks. Both have a clean, traditional "soap" scent. I have 9 or 10 Arko sticks from a box of 12 that I will probably never get through. A stick of Arko lasts me about 3 years.

Palmolive has never let me down nor has Arko or the blue German "Wilkie" stick for that matter. I also like the great shave from the tallow Speick stick as well as its relaxing fragrance that just matches Sung Homme AS/EdT perfectly and both are cheap.

I like the older Lea stick with tallow & glycerin, but I read that their newest incarnation has (yet again!) dropped the tallow!! Angry
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
