Imagine being able to read about a razor online, do a little research, check out some images on SOTDs and think about if for a while then, casually stroll down to a shop on the high street (or wherever) and ask the sales clerk if you could look at one, handle it, apprise it and then, if satisfied , buy it. I am waiting to get a Rocnel Sailor and a Wolfman, so perhaps they would slot in here somewhere, but as of now my top 5 are (in order)…
1. Blackland Tradere OC (and I’d be amazed if a Wolfman or Rocnel can match this, but we will see)
2. Timeless Slim 0.5 OC (even more fantastic with the TRH8 Crown handle)
3. Blackland Blackbird SB (results as good as the two above, but feels slightly harder on the face, prefer SB rather than OC on this one)
4. Blackland Vector SB (I only have the titanium - maybe will be top 3 with a Feather Pro Super instead of Kai Pinks for a little more efficiency - i just got it)
5. H&S P076 OC (very nice feel and agility and if it was a bit more efficient it would be in my top 2 or 3, but it isn’t. Still gives me a very close shave with a bit of work)
I think all of these are truly superb razors. The Tradere OC, though, is just magical for me - shaving perfection.

My favorite razors are all vintage but if I choose top razors from modern SS razors I've experienced, this is my pick in no order
1. Rockwell 6S
2. Wolfman WR2
3. Paradigm DB
4. Charcoal Goods lvl2
5. Pils
and I'll leave my thoughts on the modern SS razors with short comments. I purchased more than half of them here in DFS.
Thanks to you all for providing me such a enjoyable experience!
1. Rockwell 6S - Though not original, it opened a creative way of adjustable razor. One of the best modern razors.
2. Wolfman WR2 - maybe the best polished razor ever. one of the best modern razors but a bit overhyped.
3. Paradigm DB - looks plain and dull in terms of design but gets the job done very effectively. a superb razor.
4. Charcoal Goods - a terrifc razor which needs to be reproduced soon.
5. Pils - love the design. needs some time to get used to but when you understand the proper angle, it provides you a wonderful shave.
6. Seygus Zeppelin - Its concept looks a gimmick to me but it gave me great shaves.
7. Apollo Helix - An excellent razor. Top tier among modern SS razors.
8. Above the Tie - Experienced some models from the company. Its slant model(S1) was just another razor. R1 gave me a lot of blade feel, which was beyond my taste. Windsor SSR1 was excellent. Felt very similar to the shave Paradigm DB gives.
9. Rocnel Sailor 2020 and 2018 Elite - I've experienced 4 Rocnel razors(including 2 SE), 3 of which were too heavy for my taste. I liked Elite but Sailor was just another razor for me. Too heavy and bulky.
10. Carbon CX - I love its handle but the shave was nothing exceptional. I prefer GC 84
11. H&S 75 - a great razor but need to concentrate on its proper angle more than any other razors mentioned here.
12. Timeless 95 - a great razor but doesn't like its weight and bulky head.
13. Blackland Blackbird - Has blade feel beyond my taste. I don't like a razor handle with deep perpendicular line on it. BB was no exception.
14. PAA Razors - I had Ascension Twist and Meta-4. They were one of the most cost effective razors available today. Great razors.
15. Tatara Masamune - a great razor with distinctive design. Definitely top notch.
16. Fine World's finest razor - Doesn't live up to the expectation its name proudly anounces. just another razor.
17. Razorock razors - Experienced many from them. GC 84 is my top pick among them. It defintiely is one of the best bang for the buck.
