Why should I have to QC a $300 razor?!?!?!?  I didn't even bother loading a blade to see if it smiled at all...

What can we do to rectify this situation?  This is my second razor from you.  The first razor has such a severe blade smile that I'm fairly sure you knew existed (even telling someone that it was part of the design) that the center of the blade almost touched the bottom of the head where the blade sits.  The replacement razor you sent out looks like it was dropped or had a very poor machining job.

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Andrew I know my comment is probably not going to make it any better considering your email but just out of curiosity if you don't mind put a blade in it and see if it smiles again. That final finish on the razor is not acceptable for $300 razor, heck not even for a $200 razor....

Something tells me this is not machined razor. I always had on my mind to maybe one day order this razor just because it can accept modified GEM blades, but as this thread progresses that will never happen.

I did order the Supply provision version 2 injector (3 plates) razor and I know its not machined but instead is MIM molded, minor machining and that's why I paid $75 shipped for it, that's a fair price for non machined SS razor + additional plates, not fair paying $300 for non adjustable MIM mold SS razor.

It still looks like a slight smile. It shouldn't have a bend at all. I can't believe this is what they sent you as a replacement. They're treating everybody like we're all ignorant right now.

Thanks Andrew, yea that thing still smiles... This should not happen considering the SE blades are thick and sturdy. I'm starting to think that maybe they changed manufacturer and went with another one who is cheaper. Whatever went wrong with the manufacturing process I hope they fix it down the road

Blagoja Rajevski, I can't remember if I put it in this thread, though my best guess is that they changed manufacturers to save money. Their claim that they were trying to use a better material doesn't add up for me.

The OneBlade folks are not suited to be in the luxury goods business in my opinion. It feels to me like they are pushing so hard to maximize profit that they are killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

The part that isn't know to me is how many of their sales come from folks who are new to wet shaving compared experienced people.

I was introduced to wet shaving when my ex wife bought a OneBlade for me as a gift. Their marketing is geared toward folks that have not wet shaved before.

I think this is what they're hoping their target stays, and too much bad press doesn't get out. Experienced wet shavers will know something is off and not shell out $300 for something like this.
