They've crossed the line with me - I simply don't trust them and will never purchase anything from them again. I continue to believe that buying a OneBlade is worth the risk for folks who are experienced wet shavers that have never been able to get a comfortable shave due to skin type, etc.... Other than that, I would never recommend one.

This is really a shame as the OneBlade razor, unless you were sent a defective one, is a remarkable razor.

they're making it realllllly hard for me to want to like their razor. if the razor wasn't so beautifully designed, and the fact that is has the pivot (something I miss from cartridges, to be honest), I would of been done with them weeks ago.

I like to keep everyone updated for the sake of transparency. we'll see how it goes! I'm guessing I'll get an email from them within the next day or two as I'm fairly sure they watch this thread.

Like I’ve said before, the product itself (when manufactured correctly) seems well and solidly designed. Too bad the company behind it doesn’t quite have its act together.

Good of you to keep us posted, andrewjs18. Let’s hope you hear back very soon.

I fired off an email to OneBlade last night as I haven't heard anything from them since they received my return on the 26th. I got a reply back today with shipping details as well as this email:

Quote:Dear andrewjs18,

I do apologize for the delay. Our operations team received your return and we will have your replacement razor sent out today. You may use the link below to track your new razor package.

my tracking URL (removed the actual url for security reasons)

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help you.

Best Shaves,

It’s interesting that they are able to send out a replacement right away, when one of the special offer pages says this:
“We will be receiving new inventory in late September, and begin shipping again on October 17, 2016.”

Obviously we are past late September, so they should have stock again. I wonder if they are sending replacements to current customers right now, before they open up sales again in a couple of weeks…

from a previous email exchange with them, it seemed like they 'found' a razor with an earlier serial number that doesn't have the blade smile issue.

I'm very turned off by their poor customer service, to be frank.

I’ve been dealing with some customer service issues of my own in the last few days. Sad to say, it seems it’s very “hit-and-miss” these days whether you end up getting poor service or great service.

Hopefully you get a properly functioning razor out of this debacle. In a way it would be reassuring to actually receive one of the earlier serial number razors. The next batch is still a question mark — until someone can confirm that the blade smile issue doesn’t exist anymore.

I said forget OneBlade and their terrible service. I'm using my ATT SE1 solely and it's amazing. Smooth, crazy close, efficient, and no irritation whatsoever. I couldn't be happier with it.

Glad you found something that works for you!

If my replacement isn't right, I'll be done with them too.

Like many here, I won't ever do business with them again. I'll also say that I think DFS folks are reasonably safe as talk on this forum seems to correlate with them taking action.

If someone gets a properly made razor, it will probably last a lifetime. You don't have to get blades from them. I've had such good luck with the GEM blades that I don't even use the Feathers any more.

This razor has something that nothing else on the market has, which is a pivoting head where the spring on the pivot provides just enough tension to deliver a unique shave.

My take on this company is that historically they have made a living doing fast talking to slow thinking people. They are not used to the wet shave community where we are savvy and really pay attention to things. So, when their CEO says in an interview that selling blades isn't important to them, and we then come to learn that they almost certainly have exclusive distribution on blades that should be less than $.30 per blade and they sell them for $1, though they have since reduced the price, we actually catch the lie.

I've gotten side tracked as I have absolutely no respect for the OneBlade people.

What I meant to say is that it is easy for those of us that get a great shave with other razors to poo poo the OneBlade. There are plenty who will never get a shave that is as close and comfortable as they can with the OneBlade.
