Heads dirty but this is an extreme closeup, maybe 1:1 with a macro lens. I can't see it being flatter than that.

SharpSpine, I'm wondering if the GEM smiles because it doesn't lock into place. do you clip your blades? I wonder if someone who clipped their GEM blade has any smile.

Numbers? hmm, way less than 7,000, under 2000.

That is precisely why andrewjs18. I do not clip my blades as I found that practice to make it more likely for the blade to move around. There was a guy who clipped them with the sole purpose to make them "lock" in and lay flat.

Here are pics of mine with a Feather in there.  My results are the same as SharpSpine, smile with a GEM, no smile with a Feather.  My serial # is 35xx

RSP, Andrew and Niko seem to have razors that smile with the Feather, which doesn't seem correct to me.

None of us can expect the OneBlade folks to take action on the GEM blades as they don't support them. My expectation would be that a $200 plus dollar razor wouldn't smile.

My best guess is that some of the manufacturing machinery was a little off on a batch of OneBlades. They are made in China, so I would imagine that batches are fairly large.
