Schick Repeater, in great condition and all the parts are there. I'm happy! That's the 'Yay' part!

I... I wanna cry, but I wanna punch a hole in someone's face! Angry W.T.F! Who wraps something that breakable in %^&(^ PAPER! And a GRANOLA BAR BOX! Sick Mad That pile of broken crap was a 1986 Blue Old Spice mug that I managed to find at, what I thought was, a decent price on Ebay. I'm not going to name the seller at this time, because, of course, I have started the process to get a refund for this little mess. Depending on how that turns out, well, I'll keep you updated.

I'm just, baffled by the level stupid involved here. I'm delighted that I got my Repeater, but otherwise Mad Cry

I've seen this type of thing before, Shawn. How difficult is it to put it in a small box with plenty of bubble wrap and or packing peanuts? The extra difference in shipping would be negligible, if anything.

On a happier note, that is a gorgeous repeater! Happy2

that stinks! it's not as if another mug from 1986 can just be sent out as a replacement...

Right?! Here's five more dollars, make sure it doesn't break before it gets to me. So not hard to do. The Repeater(Thanks by the way Big Grin) was in four layers of thick paper, and all of that was packed in tight with shredded paper. It is metal, so there is that, but still, that was better packaged and it's a lot harder to break with a simple drop on the ground Dodgy

I checked the seller's store to see what else they had, nothing, looks like that was a one off Sad And nothing else I would want anyway, just want my money so I can look for another. I want a Old Spice mug and I picked that one cause it was blue! I'd never seen a blue one before Sad

I've taken a closer look at the broken bits, I MIGHT be able to glue it back together with Gorilla Glue, worth a shot. There will be cracks but I have some gap filler from my models, it's for plastic but, again, might be worth a shot. If nothing else, if I can make the outside look decent it can be a display piece Smile

+1 It is just a matter of common sense, really.

SWEET SCHICK! It even looks like the small screw head on the front is NOT stripped. I was starting to think they were made that way.

Bummer about the mug. Hopefully you get a refund without too much hassle. You're right though, it isn't that hard or cost prohibitive to pack these things correctly. If the seller is very concerned about cost, they could just charge an extra buck or something for shipping and handling.

When I scored my prized Gillette No. 44 NEW RFB set, I was the only person who placed a bid. I think I was the only bidder, because the seller charged $10 for shipping. At first I balked a bit too, but the seller stated in the auction that he took extra care and packaging. I received the set in beautiful shape with each piece wrapped separately and all carefully boxed and protected. I didn't feel bad about the extra couple bucks paid for shipping.

Good luck!

Thanks Big Grin Yup, everything seems to in order with it Smile

See, for me $10 isn't bad for shipping since I'm in Canada I have to eat higher costs anyway so that seems like a deal lol Still, your point stands of course, sometimes the seller hikes the shipping price to make more money but that's all and sometimes there's a legit reason for it, like in your case.

Let me look... eesh, right, I forgot how much I paid for shipping, $17.25CAD for shipping Confused Well now I'm even more angry...

Ya think? lol

lol I don't think the problem is on your end, it's Canada Post that likes to make us bend over when we have something shipped into the country... or through the country, or anywhere Dodgy

Anyway, whoo, got my refund! Big Grin (as if I wasn't going to Tongue) I left a honest but fair feedback, but won't be buying from them again.

Aaaand thanks to Ebay tracking what you look at it gave me three more options to buy from from three different sellers! Big Grin But all of them have $18 shipping fees Sick Sick I think I'm going to sleep on this one though and wait until I get home after work tomorrow to move on any of these, if they aren't around when I get home, it wasn't meant to be Wink

Wow, that was really negligent of them! I double box ceramics, with bubble wrap and peanuts so that even if the box gets kicked around, nothing moves, nothing breaks. I'm glad you got your money back.
