Absolutely, here you go Smile

In all seriousness, and I know you've been pushing for it quite a bit, but it's probably not something we'll ever do. I hate exposed tabs. In my opinion, their only useful purpose is to easily identify if the razor is loaded with a blade, which I think we've done a good job of solving with our relieved top caps that makes the tabs visible. Other than that, they're just an exposed piece of nearly razor-sharp metal, which I feel is unsafe. If I don't like something, it's hard for me to get excited about designing and creating it.
Jake, thank you so much for the answer me and the patience!!!

All in good fun, as always, I appreciate the support Smile

This is great news...a head as accomplished deserves a great looking handle.

Is it too premature to ask what a Ti razor might weigh in around? (estimate)

I'll try to get you that answer in the next couple of days.

Jake I’m a big fan of your smooth, efficient and covered/protected tabbed heads which I teach for nearly daily and now in Titanium. Wow I can’t wait to see how comfortable those beasts will be. Nevertheless I am a little concerned (even though I read your explanation) about “Makers” choice versus “customer’s” choice since we don’t know what’s capable as of yet. But I’m still signed up.

I'll be looking forward to the reviews of the titanium. I think the 921M Stainless is just fantastic, do not see how it could be improved but the Titanium Timeless for me is better than the Stainless so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case with Yates as well. What a time to be involved in this hobby.

That's why you get the choice to either buy or pass it on. Plus, you can always get back on the list and buy more than one Smile. We're using this Maker's Choice to prove out some processes and finishes, with the intention of eventually starting a Buyer's Choice program. Thanks AJ!

The base handle will be completely new, and will not be the 4" handle we offer on the stainless 921. I hate exposed tabs as well. I also dislike wiping away excess lather at the edges beyond the blade. The RR lupo, while not my favorite shaver, has chamfered edges which address both of these things. Not sure why it’s not a more popular feature.

Highly anticipating the ti version, I signed up. I think skipping the M plate is a smart choice considering the reduction in weight of an already mild razor.

For those of you fellows who have both Yates and Karve razors. Does a Karve top cap fit a Yates base plate? Would they hold a blade properly? Much obliged.
