Yous guys is killin' me here! I got one in the cart, but getting cold feet. I have a beautifully polished Karve, and I just added a new to me Vector and new to me Parker adjustable injector. I know if Dave in KY gets wind of my quandary, he will pull out his Enablizer stick and whack me with it!

By the way, I put separate pieces together to get the shorter handle with the M plate. Just in case you were wondering!

CK89 does satin = bead blast?

I understand like that. He said:

"Bead Blasting provides a uniform, satin finish. Some tool marks may remain present."

No enabling here. Same razor, different finish. All what your preference is. I have a polished and a stonewashed. I'm not collecting any more colors/finishes of the same razor  Wink

Kidding aside, I do look forward to my time with the Yates during the pass around. I think I just got a mild case of RAD, hopefully sleep and some chicken soup will make me feel better!

The bead-blast Yates with M and H plates with the stubby handle just got delivered from PA. Looks great!

Man, I had just received the Machined finish about a week before the Bead Blast showed up on the website. REALLY wish I had waited, this looks so much nicer. I love the Yates Razor, it's basically become my #1 razor in just a week or so of use but the Machine finish is the most unappealing looking razor I own.

Does anyone that has the "Stonewashed" finish razor find it to be draggy? I've tried the RR DLC Lupo and many other razors with a non-polished finish and found that they just don't glide as well as polished or chrome plated ones. The DLC coating was particularly bad no matter how slick of a lather I used. Thanks for any insights.

For me it is slightly draggy in a good way. That's the issue with my polished one for sale. Slides easier and feels it may catch me if I don't pay attention. I like the mindless shave of the slight drag/resistance it offers. That may just be me though...

PS - I should add that it isn't as bad as the Lupo DLC was at all though to me wyze0ne
