All of the Charcoal Goods handles fit the Yates perfectly

Once the H plate and cap arrive, I'll pair it with one of my Stork Titanium handles and see how they pair. I am certain they'll look great together. I'll post a photo(s) if I remember.

You will need one with a narrow top at the threading point, or the handle won't fit between the ridges at the bottom of the baseplate. the bottom of the baseplate is like a Charcoal Goods version 2.

That’s what I thought. But after experimenting for the last few months, the original is perfect in every way. Gives me great control especially with the positive blade exposure of the H plate.

Concur. I'd at least try three or four shaves with the handle that comes along with the head. Trust me I thought the exact same thing and really have come to like the handle a ton.

Thank you for the information. Hadn't known that. Would a Blackbird handle work?

Does anyone know what the measurement is at the bottom of the baseplate where the handle inserts into the post?

Sneak peek at the polished handle at least but yeah the head is handle limited.

Well as I said I would do in an earlier post I did a side by side comparison using both the Yates with the H plate and a Level 2 OC Charcoal Goods Brass razor. I'll keep this very brief as I've already given my thoughts on the Yates but I will add that with every shave I'm enjoying it more and more. I did a 2 pass shave going both WTG and ATG on 2 and a half days growth with no buffing.  After the two passes the shave results were very close efficiency wise with a entry level 1 BBS. I did use a bit more of aggressive skin stretching as I wanted to achieve a entry level 1 BBS which I knew I could with the CG Level 2 but wanted to see if I could with the Yates which I did.  Had to wait about 6 hours to get clear results on which razor took this shave off. So the areas where I used the CG the stubble started to show up sooner than the Yates so my conclusion is that Yates is just a tad more efficient than a Charcoal Goods level 2 OC and in this shave noticeably smoother and in fact I was mentioning this to my friend Shavemd Mark that the Level 2 OC seems to not be as smooth as my Level 3 OC CG and that makes no sense but it's what I felt when comparing my last shave with the Level 3.  Anyway so for me the Yates was not only smoother but a bit more efficient and after comparing it to both Level 2 and 3 CG OC's I'd say it's closer to the Level 2 in efficiency than to the Level 3 CG OC and smoother than both. A pleasure to shave with and it is climbing up my list of favorite shaving modern razors.

Used my friends David's Cutting Edge Mahogany @ Lavender Shave soap which is a very good base in my opinion along with my Knothead Shaving brush with a Maggard SHD badger knot in it and an old favorite of mine Pitralon aftershave which I doctored up by adding a little of my EOS complex to. lol

Great Shaves!
