I had this manufacturer recommended. I'm not sure I'm into the "stonewashed" razor. I would definitely want a mild/medium type head/plate.

I like that stand. You can tell a lot of thought went into it.  That’s the first one I’ve seen with blade storage.

Ordered my razor yesterday. I like the look of stone wash. I am starting with the 921-M plate since it is a little more mild!

Was able to snag an H plate yesterday. Could somone do me a favor? I didn't grab a handle with it hoping to use some existing handles. I want to make sure they're threaded deep enough though. I have a few CG handles and a Blackbird handle... if anyone has a yates, and some similar handles, could you see if it threads on the head enough? Thanks!

Contact Yates directly and I‘m sure they can help you out. I had the same shipping concerns with my order to Austria and they were very helpful.

Thank you.

That's gonna be a problem for you and why I held off buying a spare razor. Your handle choices are EXTREMELY limited due to the narrow recess on the bottom on the base plate. I have a West Coast Shaving handle designed by charcoal goods that fits but that's it.............
