Wow, again, I'm flattered by all of the support and feedback. It sounds like, as I expected, everyone has their own preference, which is great. So, I'm thinking the way forward is to leave it up to the individual customer to decide on finishes, and maybe even plate style/aggression. This would lead me down the path of a "Waitlist" signup. Then, when your number is pulled, an email is sent to you with all of the options (essentially an order form). Once you submit it, it gets entered into the build queue and I get to work. Then, upon completion, I invoice you and after payment, the razor ships.
Does this system make sense? Would there be interest in it? The cost/razor would be a little higher than if I just offered one style with one finish to everyone, but in the end you get the exact razor you want.
Here are the options I'm considering:
Plates-Solid Bar, Solid Bar Scalloped, Dual Comb(Hybrid), Open Comb. All offered in our -M (Mid Level), -H (High Level), and possibly a -EH(Even Higher?) levels of aggression.
Caps-Maybe two or three different designs
Handles- Our 4.00" and 3.25"
Finishes available for each component:
Stonewash, Bead Blast, Brushed, Anodized(All colors that are achievable with Titanium anodizing).
Let me know your thoughts, thanks!
Zhang Doe if care is taken, they shouldn't wear. The anodized layer is extremely hard, so typical use shouldn't affect it. I'll of course test that theory prior to releasing them into the wild. It seems to hold up pretty well on knife handles, which see much more rugged use.

All sounds good. I always say keep it simple, but if your process is sustainable for your business, your family and you, then go for it!
I would just recommend you take payment at the same time as the order is placed so you don’t go through a bunch of custom work and someone backs out.
