Shavemd Gotta agree that the H-plate is more efficient but still very comfortable. My experience pairing the Yates with ETHOS has also been stellar as the other half totally approves. Looking forward to the 3.25" handles coming in like 2 weeks.

Had my first shave with this razor using the hybrid plate and a Nacet on its third use to tackle 3 days of growth.

I. Am. Impressed.

This razor was certainly smooth, but after the first pass using the OC side I was amazed at how efficient it was. Two more passes with the SB and I got an easy, comfortable, irritation-free BBS. Never once was I scared of this razor biting.

The stonewash finish was nicer than I imagined. It has a real buttery smooth texture to it that I really enjoy. The long and skinny handle actually worked great! I was really hesitant about it, but after using it I had no issues.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on this razor and it certainly punches above what it’s priced at. I need to get my hands on an H plate and hopefully a full brass/copper razor if he ever produces one. Well done YatesPrecision!

Hey all!

First off, I really appreciate all the kind words in this thread. I'm glad so many people are enjoying my products. It seems as though the Stainless Stand, the Leather Travel Case, and the H plate are big hits, which is great! I thought I'd just give some quick updates on a few products:

-Our shorter, stubbier 3.25" handles should be available within a week. (I had to push them back in the schedule to squeeze in some rush contract manufacturing for a good customer of mine.) Those will be offered in 316 Stainless, Brass, and Copper.

-Our brass Hybrid Plates will also be back in stock within the next week.

-I'm hoping to squeeze in a small run of Titanium razors in the next month

-Another round of Razor Stands are on the schedule. I'm also going to begin offering custom plastic inserts for that stand, which will allow it to hold any razor. The customer will just need to provide the diameter of the handle out to three decimal places (ex. .610") and I'll make an insert to hold that handle. The inserts are held in place with an o-ring and can be easily swapped.

-The next large run of razors will be our polished version, which should be available by the end of August.

-I'm also hoping to get H Plates back in stock within the next 6 weeks.

I'm working on an improved inventory system, which should help me keep items in stock. I have some new products I'm working on (more aggressive plate, OC plate, all brass razor, all copper razor, new stand, etc.) as well as some more distant goals (adjustable razor), but if there is anything you would like to see please feel free to reach out. I noticed that a few people would like statistics (weight, diameters, etc) listed on the product pages, and I completely agree. It's been on my to-do list for awhile, and it keeps getting back-burnered. I'll get this done within a week, so hold me accountable lol. Again, thanks to everyone for the support, and I'm looking forward to the future!

-Jake

YatesPrecision Jake please don't make that small run of titanium razors too small - what plate/gap should we be expecting with it and what length handle ?

AJSharp What plate would you like to see? I was leaning towards our flagship -M plate, but I know a lot of people like the -H plate as well. As far as the handle goes, these first razors will have the longer 4" handle, as that is the stock I have on hand. I'll add some Ti handles in the future.

What finish would you want on the Ti razor? I'd rather not do polished, but anything else is on the table. Again, I was leaning towards our go-to stonewashed finish, but I could do brushed or bead blasted as well. I also have the ability to anodize titanium, which allows any color except red or black.
