Should we coordinate the list so that folks in the same state go in order, to save time on shipping back and forth across the country?
Looks like there 2 Missouri's, 3 Washington's and 3 California's; even if we just lumped these 3 together at the second half of the passaround, my overanalytical mind is saying put the Missouri people together since its in the middle of the country (for wherever it would be coming there from), then send to Washington for the 3 people there, then send to CA for the 3 people here, then back to Andrew in PA.
I'm happy to move down the list as needed if it helps make the shipping progression more efficient.... if I'm overcomplicating it, just say shut up Jesse ;-)

no...shipping costs largely remain the same regardless of where it's being sent - either 5 miles away or 3,000.

first, thanks to YatesPrecision for sending us some stuff to try out and send around the forum!

here are my thoughts without using the razor...

the packaging is pretty decent, though I don't know how reusable it is with the current set up.  my guess is that most people these days will keep the packaging for razors and brushes they buy so if they sell it in the future, they have something to ship it in, or possible to keep its value a touch higher than without the box.  I ended up using a rubber band to keep the clam shell box closed before packaging it back up to ship out.

the weight of the full stonewashed razor came it at I think 3.29 or 3.3 oz on my scale.  for stainless steel, that's a good weight in my book.

I dig the raw look of the stonewashed & brass items that were sent.  moving on to the handle...  I'm a full pass on the handle they sent along as it's way too thin for me and reminds me of the handle on my leaf razor, which I also do not like.  it looks like Yates already made a fix for this by producing a wider handle.

Yep wasn’t really concerned about cost of shipping, more about time spent sending across the country and back. Especially since some of these passarounds seem to experience extended “dark” periods where there’s no feedback being posted for weeks at a time...

Those long periods of no feedback being posted have next to nothing to do with the shipping time and more to do with the people not posting their experience. Just my observation. Every pass around someone suggests remapping the order and each time it is said the fairest thing is the order people sign up. Especially since people continue to join up the entire time of the pass around.

Looks like the passaround Yates is chilling in a Pittsburgh USPS distribution center... I'll update the group as soon as I receive the razor. Thanks
