Nice photos Alan.

It is good to see that some folks still put an effort into decorating for Christmas, yet still keep it tasteful.

When I was young, it seemed that nearly everyone decorated their houses elaborately. I even remember our neighborhood had a contest for the best decorated house. Over the years, it seems that people in general put less effort into decorating. Many houses have no decorations at all. Don't even get me started on the huge inflatables that seem to be more appropriate for a Macy's parade than a front yard. As I have aged and our daughter is 1000 miles away, I no longer have the energy to put lights on the gutters and fence rails. I no longer decorate a tree in the living room. However, I do still decorate the bushes in front of the house. The light helps dispel the gloom of the short days of December and January.

Merry Christmas to all. Peace be with you.
