Hey guys - I’m about to order a Wolfman WR2 OC razor and I have no idea what blade gap to select. I’m looking for a medium aggressive shave similar to Charcole Level 2 or Gillette Fatboy at setting 6. Can anyone help me?

Go with the SB on the WR2. Read the Wolfman thread for more info on why but there’s no benefit in the OC on the WR2. You don’t gain appreciable efficiency but you do lose smoothness.

+1. Get the WR2 SB.

There’s been a lot of discussion on the Wolfman thread about gaps, but I think most people say the 115 is similar to the CG L2.

I agree, get the SB. To me, the 1.05 is closest to the CG Lvl 2.

I went 1.15 OC WR2. I would rate close to a previously owned CG Lvl 2 SB. Current razors are Carbon Shaving and Rockwell Plate 4. I did debate the 1.05 but comments encouraged me to go with the 1.15. Happy with my purchase.

I had CG level 2, WR 1 (SS, Ti) and I have WR2 1.05, 1.15, 1.25 (everything DC: OC/SB) and BBS-1 (1.0).

For me CG level 2 very soft (have ordered CG level 3). WR2 1.05 more hard than CG level 2.
But I don’t feel big difference WR2 1.05, 1.15 and 1.25. I prefer 1.25.

I recommend for order DC and short and light handle (I feel like Ti WR) -  second pass I do with using OC.
Also RAW RS-10 more comfortable (aggressive plate).
WR 2 (1.05, 1.15, 1.25) feels like BBS-1, but BBS-1 needs sharp blades like feather.
For WR2 accepts any blades.

I like Carbon Razor and Carbon a little smart and comfortable. Carbon Razor more closest WR2 1.05 for me but it depend of blades in Carbon.
WR 2 1.05, 1.15, 1.25 is not soft razors.
I would call them assertive.
WR shaves clearly, efficiently and clearly not for girls). Perfectly designed.

This is my personal experience and my feedback is thanks to those who share their experience in detail! Thanks you!

I have quite hard black stubble and I usually shave once every two days.

Thanks,
Michael

For me the WR2 1.15 SB compares to the CG LV2. Both are a bit too much for me having to give my skin an extra day rest. I consider the WR 1.05 on the low scale of aggressive. Very comfortable but not as close or efficient as the 1.15. It's frustrating I know cause you'll get a dozen different replies. Everyone has a different experience.

Get the WR2 DC 1.05, SB side is smoothest and OC side will provide variety. I like using the OC for ATG and James' machining ensures the OC side is extremely smooth compared to other makers. For the handle, I like the Darwin the best. If you do get one of the other styles make sure it's hollow.
