What is the wr4? I haven’t been keeping up with new razors as much lately.

just curious, what gap did you end up with?  I have a timeless .68 in SS and Ti.  I also have a wr2 1.05.  The stainless .68 is equal to the bronze wr2 1.05.  However the timless .68 in titanium shave so smooth and efficient that It's hard to reach for any other razor in my collection.  Thinking of the 1.05 in Ti.

I started Timeless with the .95 sb, slightly better shave with the .68 oc, better yet with the .95 oc, so I bought a .95 oc in titanium and loved it.  Still looking for something better I had a Ti WR2 1.25 sb but found I couldn't use it more than 4 or 5 times before I needed a break.  Comparing my experience with Timeless and the WR2 1.25, I concluded I needed a Ti WR2 1.05 oc and bingo.  It is a direct hit on my sweet spot.  I have found the combination of more gap and less exposure works best for me, and an oc lets me do that.

It depends on your personal preferences with regards to aggression and efficiency. You can do a different gap on each side if you want to have both on one head.

I just got a 1.55 and it's awesome.  Very similar to my .95 and BBS1 but a closer shave.  Far superior to my 1.25 and 1.35.  My .95 is like shaving on autopilot.  1.55 is similar.  1.25 and 1.35 feel way more aggressive and give a great shave I just have to pay more attention.

I've found my WM 1.05 oc slightly more aggressive than my Timeless 0.95 oc, as you would expect. My WM 1.25 sb is a beautiful razor, but just too aggressive for me. I can't use it more than 2 or three days in a row before I have to back off to something less aggressive. I've found the difference between oc and sb to be significant. As an example, I have found the Timeless 0.68 oc to be smoother and more efficient than the Timeless 0.98 sb. Probably most significant for me is technique. I'm still learning how to adjust my angle as I move through my shaving routine.

I thought you lot were crazy with your 1.55+ gaps.

I've used and moved on 0.95 SB. Currently have a 1.25 SB and while I like it better than the 0.95, I feel like the end result it not that different compared to other razors that cost a lot less.

Decided to add three shims this morning to take it to a simulated 1.55 SB. Loaded a new Feather blade and it was the smoothest, closest shave ever. And probably the best shave I've had with a Feather.

So my question is: how close is a 1.25 SB with three shims to an actual 1.55 SB? Given that each blade is approx. 0.10mm in thickness, I assume pretty close. But wanted to double check.

I've also been experimenting with shimming an already large gap razor (GreenCult 2.0 IV plate). While you will likely be able to replicate the gap of the Wolfman 1.55, you won't be able to replicate the exposure, as shimming will not increase the exposure to the level of the 1.55 (which is 0.4 mm). You will increase the exposure slightly though - because the shave plane where that is calculated from will become steeper due to the increased gap, so it should intersect the blade more.
