Yes. Will wipe right off with metal polish to the original finish.

I thought James used heat to antique the bronze razors rather than a chemical dip (maybe he uses both I don't know enough about it)?

Fedsbackhand No clue. It looks chemically treated due to the highlighting on the edges, but totally could be that. Just giving everyone a $30 alternative

A question I emailed to Brain (Charcoal Goods) May 2020 

One more question, if I want to antique a bright brass part, will 'Brass Ager' work ? What is the best way to get the protective wax, or lacquer off of the bright brass ?

I used dish soap and a soft bristled fingernail brush, alcohol on a q-tip. Birchwood Casey Brass Black and that was it. Below the head was an old one by Brian, the handle done by me with the aforementioned stuff.

So according to what you've posted you have no clue what he is doing but yet you have accused him in numerous posts of using a $6 Amazon product to do this.... If your not sure why do you keep making accusations as to what he's doing? Why not just send him a message and ask him before you keep making wild accusations about his methods because its only obvious you know nothing about what he's doing!!

I'm just wondering why if you have no idea what he's doing why you have no problem accusing him of using a $6 product from Amazon to process his product!! Just send him a message and find out what he does and stop making accusations you have no idea about....

By force-ageing, does it prevent patina or does it still further patina? It would bug me to spend this kind of time doing this, only to have to re-do it over and over again.

Gorgeous work. Thanks for the step-by-step. Much more appealing than bright brass. Wonder what a Hone 15 would look like with this process.
