Realized I got advice from you guys and never followed up! Got a 1.20 gap with 90mm WRH1 hollow handle in basic polish and it has been absolutely perfect. It has upped the efficiency of my Karve D plate to the point that I will sell the Karve soon. No nicks or irritation as long as I don’t overshave and the finish is stunning. The WRH1 is grippy and the perfect length and weight. It is now my desert island razor for sure.

Hello guys

Ohh man I’m so happy to announce that a dream come true ?. I ordered yesterday a hybrid handle from James . The 3/7 Xl hollow in Satin finish ??. Can‘t wait for a first try ??

Is James suddenly doing custom orders? I didn’t know this was possible for a long time with the email list.

Has been WRH3 or WRH7 not a hybrid of the two.

I got the order email from them two days ago and it specifically mentions only standard options available. I didn’t ask about custom parts/exceptions.

Perhaps he just took a handle without a head and this made a difference.

No I ordered for a friend a wr1 .54 basic polished head and the handle . He ordered last week a WR2 1.60 ?

I mean the gaps being offered are custom like 1.60 or even down to 0.90 but like FloridaCreekIndian says the other options are the standard ones. I’ll ask about custom handles as I have an unused/postponed spot on the list.

0.54 and 1.60? That seems quite a range of aggression and efficiency!

Different blade gaps have always been allowed but custom handles, engravings etc are mentioned as a no-go in the email. Would be cool to see that change.
