Latest Wolfman to make it into my den. Shipped one week after I paid my invoice.
WR2 1.35 in full mirror. Top notch shave, smooth and efficient. James did a stellar job on the finish.

Lovely Max, do you like the 1.35 compared with other WR2 gaps ? Is it the 'sweet spot' for you ? I've got 1.25 OC & SB, and 1.55 SB, and was thinking 1.35. Not sure if it wouldn't be more or less the same as what I already have. Particularly the 1.25 OC.

Jimmy, so far the 1.35 checks all the boxes for me. I shave every 2 days so the lower gap Wolfies didn't cut it for me anymore. I was looking for more efficiency while keeping the same smoothness. For me the 1.45 I have on loan is super efficient and still smooth. However depending the blade I use I'm always left with a few tiny blood specks. Not so with the 1.35. I had double shimmed my 1.20 before deciding on the 1.35 as the double shim never gave me issues. The 1.35 feels very similar in efficiency to me compared to the 1.45 with a notch less blade feel. Compared to my 1.20 SB the 1.35 really ups the efficiency by a big margin. I can always tell the efficiency is right where I want it to be when it totally get my trouble spots to a BBS with no buffing or extra passes.

So i had my second shave with the 1.35 and I must say I made the right choice. I had less beard growth to shave which brings it closer to straight razor territory. I could have stopped after 2 passes and skipped the ATG. Did all 3 anyways. It mowed away my trouble spots without effort. No extra passes needed. Yes, there is more blade feel than my lower gapped Wolfies but the shave is smooth and I pretty much shaved in cruise control without any fear of cutting myself. This was with a Personna Red.

As to the Darwin handle. I had no idea if I was going to really like it because from all the handles I have tried the 7/3 XL hollow is my all time favorite. I am pleasantly surprised by the Darwin. Yes, it looks and feels more dainty but for whatever reason it just feels right and it gives you several options to hold the handle. Either by the top close to the baseplate or lower on any of the square flats. I have extreme slippery water (water softener) so I always rub my hands with an alum block before, except if there's excessive knurling like the WRH1 but even then. With that said, the overall grip of the Darwin is very secure and it's well balanced to my taste.

I'm just catching up on this thread but still a little lost on new materials. Has Wolfman officially said anything regarding titanium or are people just holding out their order hoping? Thank you!

Received the WR2 1.25SB WRH7XL and stand on 7/9/21. Its amazing. The finish is better than my first one, and they are both just basic polish. Its efficiency is incredible and the smoothness is no different than the 1.15 I had. Almost no blade feel and I can easily get BBS with 2 passes which I have not been able to achieve before this. I wanted to get a razor to compete with the Blackbird Ti and this might have actually beat it! Absolutely love the handle. Its hollowed so the balance is perfect.

Just got my wr2 1.55 wrh1 hollow today. I love it. I have a 1.25 as well and recently borrowed a buddy's 1.05. 1.55 is my favorite gap. I find it to be one of the most comfortable aggressive razors that I have used.
