Depends where you are?

My invoice arrived within days last year. Razor, also in brushed satin was ready to ship in about a week.

My razor is taking forever to get to me. Stuck in Canada. Shipped 2/11 and is still stuck in Canada.

My invoice came the same day after I send back my order configuration in the morning and it shipped 4 days later. I did ask for UPS because of all the USPS shipping delays. That took a week in transit.

Things crossing the border lately have been slow. Stuck in customs for up to 7 days. Check USPS and Canada post with your tracking number; sometimes one offers more accurate information than the other.

So my email should be coming any day now based on Max's time frame. I ordered mid September so hopefully it's coming in the next couple of weeks. Here is my question on gap. With neutral exposure razors, I have a tendency to overshave. I had the H&S N075 in the passaround and because I wasn't feeling the blade, I would do too many passes to try to get to BBS and end up with horrible irritation. My point of reference for gaps are a Karve B, C, and D plates. I hate the B, get terrible shaves from it. I typically use the D plate and shave every other day. I get good shaves from it but it could be closer. I could probably use the C plate every day but shaves wouldn't be as close with it and I'm not sure how many days in a row I could go with it. I really don't mind shaving every other day and so would tend towards getting a higher WR2 gap to get a closer shave anyway. So if 1.05 is neutral exposure, then I'm between 1.15 and 1.25. I do have very sensitive skin so the 1.25 scares me slightly but after reading so many pages, I'm leaning towards giving it a try. I also know Max got a 1.20 after having a 1.10 and don't know how often he checks this thread so may end up PM'ing him instead. Thoughts?

I had the 1.15 WR2 and was not a big fan of it. I tended to over shave because it didn’t shave as close but it is really forgiving, never cut myself with it but always had a bit of irritation that went away quickly. Aftershave always stung pretty good.

On the other hand the 1.25 WR2 I have it’s more efficient, so less passes and no buffing needed. I tried a bunch of blades and while I got an irritation free shave I sometimes get a weeper. I got around it by using a Crystal blade and now my shaves are perfect. It’s a closer shave than the 1.15 with zero irritation or weepers and I barely feel the burn of the aftershave. I ride the guard and I should mention it’s a SB.

The 1.15 gave me great shaves but I always felt it lacking or missing something. I can't pin point it but it just didn't feel complete. So when my turn came up I opted for the 1.20 and I'm glad I did. It really upped the efficiency by a big margin. I have to be a bit more careful and focus but it delivers a smooth, efficient and extremely close shave especially paired with a very sharp blade. With the lower gap WR2 it's pretty much shaving on cruise control for me. I haven't drawn blood or cut myself once with the 1.20 and it's a pleasure to use. I've had a 1.25 on loan and my 1.20 compares to the 1.25 in terms of feel and efficiency as opposed to the 1.15.
