Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

Honestly dunno but it seems to be. I tried using the black washer that comes with Karve for 5 shaves, it shaved much worse with that than without it.

The Karve washer is rubber and MAY have some springiness to it. Karve states that this is included purely for transportation purposes.

If you want to protect your Wolfman, use a hard nylon washer.

Do you guys have any amazon recommendations?

By the way, the smoothness of 1.55 is absolutely unreal, it feels like B plate on Karve but cuts better than G plate. The hype is legit, if any of you have reservations about the higher gap WR2s lemme tell you it's incredible. The only thing I'm thinking now is if the 2020 Sailor is even better than this like LOOT and george1906 say then what the hell does that feel like?

I have a 1.55 and 1.65 and love them but the 2020 Sailor S is the best razor I have EVER used!

May I ask... how often do you shave, and how many passes?

Like bother G, I have a 1.55 and the 165. Both are outstanding razors but I agree, the 2020 Sailor is better tool. In fact, I have 1.25 to 165 and the Sailor has them all covered in the first complete turn of the dial...and then some. I like it so much, I have 2. Just know, it's big and heavy. If you can work around that, get one. If you can.

I went to the Rocnel site and took a looksee .... they are proud of their razors judging by the price. I don't care for adjustable razors no matter how good. I do have a few minty vintage Gillette fatboys and a slim aristocrat, but never use them. Occasionally I'll use my Merkur Vision, and it is hard to beat ... but my WR2 1.55 beats them all !

I completely concur with this as I have all gaps from 1.25-1.65 too and starting at the dot and going all the way around back to the dot covers all of these gaps. The great thing about the Sailor S is that when you go even higher past that dot, the razor is still smooth and stays smooth in to much higher gaps!

I was just curious to hear from people like yourself, LOOT or @“JimmyH” (and others..), as you all seem to use 1.55 or 1.65 fairly regularly.... about how often you shave when you use them, and how many passes during the shave, considering how efficient they’re supposed to be...

When I first got my 1.65 DC, I shaved with it every other day for a week and it is still super smooth at that gap. I always do a 2.5 pass with every razor I use.
