I know that I'm not going for a 1.65. Might be as good or better than the 1.55 but the latter is good enough for me.

The 1.35 is an amazing implement. Between that and the 1.55 Ti, I might as well pack up everything else.
Well, I have.

I'm a bit of a late adopter, as marketers tend to call us thoughtful deliberative types, but I've begun to discover
just how cool a one pass shave is with the 1.55. With one pass, I am darn sure I can use it daily.

Are you guys using the high gaps for their smoothness or the efficiency (or both)? 1.55 seems like overkill for daily shaves, admittedly I haven't tried the WR2 in any configuration.

It's both for me on the 1.55

Both here as well, on the 155. The 165 is all that plus a smidge. In the 145-165 range you finally start getting good blade feel but they somehow don't sacrafice smoothness to do it although daily 3 pass shaving is more than I could do. Limited to 1 to 1.5 passes I could run them pretty consistently.

Interesting, I'm not really keen on the ultra high gaps as I'm a mild shaver but I do see those gaps are pretty popular. Are the 0.95-1.35 gaps radically different in smoothness alone, putting efficiency aside for a minute?

No sir, not to me. I've used all of the gaps and owned all but 1. They are all very smooth. Blade feel increases in a relatively linear fashion, as does efficiency, but if you could eliminate those two variables, the smoothness is pretty damned stable....on my face.

James; would it be fair to say you Gents that prefer higher gaps are trying to get that perfect shave with the least amount of strokes and passes as smooth as possible?

Wow that's quite remarkable and impressive that they're able to retain smoothness with only the addition of some blade feel.. would you consider the 1.05 to be mild or mid aggressive? I tend to prefer mid aggressive razors that are leaning towards mild for daily shaving so hoping it will be the right fit. I'm also going to be shaving my beard off with it and streaming it on Instagram live once I receive the razor so I'll post the link here if anyone is interested in watching lol

Hi Drew:

Hope this helps...I paid for my newest build on Oct. 2 and today is Oct 27th and no confirmation for shipping.

Mine generally take 5-6 weeks.  This round being no different.  I always take full advantage of my turn, 2 handles, a stand, head, various polish grades.
