Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

Didn’t like the Darwin with wr2 head myself.

My issue with the Darwin is the small diameter at the primary grip. I've owned several. I try to get over my pickyness and learn to deal with it because is a crazy sexy handle...but I've sold every one I've had. Like others, it's better on a WR1 than a WR2.

PS. Don't make a rash decision thinking you have to respond to Tara right away. Take your time, order when ready. You are not on the clock.

I sold my Darwin handle as it was not to my liking. Too short and was not as functional for me with my WR2’s or WR1. It looks beautiful but in use it was not a good match for me.

The Darwin was not to my personal liking. I found it cumbersome and too thin to hold steadily. I know many that love the handle so it's really a YMMV thing.

I love the Darwin on the WR1. I feel the WR2 head is too large for that handle.

I just received my email notice from Wolfman stating I can proceed with my order.  Now I have to make a quick decision regarding which handle I want.  I’m leaning toward choosing the Darwin.  What do people think of the Darwin handle?  Love it, hate it?  How does it feel to use?  Is it practical or just really elegant looking?

It is short. It looks slippery, and it would be if it were not for the facets going round it. As it is the thing is grippy in my hand, and I'm very fussy about that. I've never tried it on a WR2 head, but it is married to my WR1 0.74 DC. It is also light in weight BTW. 

My favorite WRH is the # 1. Good looking and won't slip in your fingers.

FYI, I placed my order this week and was told the Darwin handles will not be available until Sep 10. I opted to wait instead of going to my second choice, the WRH7.

I just obtained a titanium WRH7 and like it a lot but my preference is the WRH1 and WRH3. I have 2 of the 3’s and 1 of the 1’s. I prefer longer handles too. I have the 1 in an XL version and the 2 others are 96mm I think.

I followed your lead again today with a Ti155SB on a 3XL handle. If you shave tomorrow, you are on your own.

I really love the Darwin handle on my WR1. .94 It really has great balance.
