In my mind I’d like to grab as much of the hair off in the first pass WTG so there’s less for a mild pass XTG / ATG. Or maybe it’s just my face / thoughts. Anyone have a combo like this out there???

As I have experimented over the years, I prefer to try and remove as much as possible on the first pass and then go for the more mild razor or more mild passes second/last. My beard is not dense but coarse and my skin is sensitive. So I go for more efficiency now so I can get most of the results in 2 passes regardless of aggression or efficiency. My skin in the past hadn't done as well with 3 passes but now I guess the razors I am trying are allowing for it. I like your idea for a OC side and higher gap.

Not crazy.  I do something similar, but for different reasons.  I like the efficiency of the WR2 1.25 on most of my face.  But for the mustache area and sideways on my neck, I prefer a 1.15.  I bought a DC in 1.15 SB / 1.25 SB.  It works beautifully for my needs.

1.55 with MDC and 2nd use Wizamet.

DFS with no irritation. That's the third day in a row.

Maybe the 1.55 is an 'everyday shaver'  Smile

It definitely is an everyday shaver. I have noticed that, for me, shaving on 3 day growth generally is when I've been able to shave the best. I usually can't last that long without shaving though, I start feeling stubble and get an itch to shave. With the 1.55 the stubble doesn't come as often so the need for everyday is needed as much for me, I just wanted to see if I could go through it. I honestly, couldn't ask for more out of that razor. I love it.
It sounds unbelievable that a 1.55 could be smooth enough to be an everyday shaver, but I'm having the same results. Just an amazing job of engineering on James Dufour's part.

The 1.55 Ti truly rises to the occasion when presented with a growth that is 2 days and above.
The 1.45 does well for me when shaving on alternate days....the 1.45 in brushed satin feels a little more 'lively' on my face than the 1.55
I like to save the 1.55 for special occasions like a 2-4 day growth, as I do not ever want to get tired of it.
For daily use, I am content with a 1.35

I agree that the 1.55 really shines @ 2-4 day growth. I am not that interested in the 1.45 for some reason, but I'm very interested in acquiring a 1.35 for some reason. Perhaps from your previous reviews being in my subconscious ?

As for the 1.55 as a daily shaver ... it works for me, but doing this has shown me why I have so many razors. I just like variety.

As great a shaver as the 1.55 is, I am already tired of using it daily and want to use something else. Normally I never shave with the same razor twice in a row unless I'm trying to figure it out.  Smile

Yay! I’m a Nov 16 signup. The windows closing in. I use  all charcoal goods lvls, Tatara Nodachi, and Vector daily. Broad range I know but I like to mix it up everyday. Currently, I’m going to do a WR2 1.15SB / 1.35 SB. Get me that charcoal goods lvl 3 swipe in the first pass and ease on down for any passes after that with the 1.15. Really appreciate everyone’s input on this forum. Is it all over the place depending on faces, yes. But somewhere between the lines you start to get a good idea of what you’ll want. Thanks all!

I signed up my second one on Nov 13, just after I received my first one.
The list is going much faster.

Great news. I'd imagine current economic conditions in the states are causing a lot of deferrals. Good news for all really. Getting to go skrait to the front of the line at your convenience makes these things much easier to get. With Tara, I'm sure that's a manageable model....alone, no way. Almost be forced to do random drops...which I still miss. I had great fun tracking and catching them. Took a lot of time but it was great run.

Would be nice to continue Titanium drop.
