Wolfman WR2 Head Discussion

Tried a few KAI blades in my WR1 .86 (with pegs in the cap).  The blade seems to line up better (evenness on edge) than with the WR2.  The problem may lie in the blade tips of the KAI and how securely it sits in the head of the WR2.

Yep maybe they (KAi)  didn't plan on that type of razor, for whatever reason.

You think so? I just purchased a 100 pack of them from smallflower too.

Try a couple of different  Kai blades, see if you just got a dude. I've run Kai in them and not noticed anything odd.

Just tried a KAI and I have the same 'play' in a WR2, but a Wizamet, and anything else I've tried, fit perfectly. Might be a specific batch of KAIs ?

I tried a KAI on my WR2 and same thing. Sloppy fit. I also tried the KAI on a ZAMAK head tech that holds the blade the same way and it has the same issues. I think the Baili bd171 will probably not get along with KAIs too.

Funny thing, I've used a KAI in WR2s, (more than one) and other razors. I never noticed the alignment being a problem, I just shaved. Not saying it was ideal, just that I never paid that much attention and suffered no ill consequences as a result. YMMV. 

I just checked and I never noticed the Kai alignment being off. The shaves with them seemed fine. Hmm?

Just paid my invoice last week. WR2 1.15 SB. Timeless 95 SB is my absolute favorite razor and i hope this provides an identical shave (i just want the same efficiency with a diff razor). Thanks all for the multiple comparisons which lead to my decision.

I hope you’re not disappointed to find your 1.15 a bit more efficient than your Timeless .95SB.... but every bit as smooth. At least that’s been my experience with the exact same razors. Great choice, and congratulations! Let us know what you think once you’ve used it a couple times.

Would you say that the efficiency of Timeless .95 SB is similar to WR2-SB 1.05, then?

Thanks for the feedback,  if its just a little more efficient than the timeless thats fine as well (my second favorite razor is the Blackbird SB, which is a bit more aggresive than the T95 as well)

That seems about right, but I’ve never used the 1.05 so I can’t say for certain. There are several folks in this thread that could help you with that comparison, I’m sure.
