In my experience, using a friend's Ti 1.55 for a few shaves, it is smoother and probably more efficient. The Lv 3 will mow 'em down, but it can be a bit harsh if I'm not careful. The 1.55 Ti was like silk.

Agreed....on all points. I would only clarify, the 155 is indeed more efficient. The L3 is closer to a 135, on my face.

What would be similar to a Charcoal goods lvl 2 DC in WR2 heads? The lvl 3 is a bit much for me daily, do-able, but not as smooth as the lvl 2 DC. Am I looking more at a 1.05 / 1.15 / 1.25?

Just me...a 115 is close to an L2 in efficiency but much smoother.

Depending on your preferred process, 1 pass or 3-4, my recommendation would change.

I liked the L2 and love the 115 for full 2.5 to 3 pass daily shaves. I'll take a 155 if the intent is a 1-1.5 pass per day routine....wham, bam, get me out the door shave.

This is good info. I should have clarified my earlier post seeking gap advice for a daily shaver. I shave 5-6 days a week as active duty. I sometimes shave on the weekend because my family likes it and I enjoy my few quiet minutes while shaving. My M-F shaves have evolved to what I would call 1.5 passes. I have decided on the 1.45 SB with WRH7 XL.  Email sent and awaiting invoice.

Well we're not all playing with the same deck of cards. My skin/beard prefers the 1.25 in the WR2 as a daily driver. The 1.15 is good OC, but the 1.25 is just so good. With the WR1 I really like the .74 and the .86. I never liked the Lv2 until recently when I scored a SS. Dunno why, but it seems to have made a big difference. As a daily shaver it is fine. Comparable to my WR1 .74.

if you shave at fixed times, say 9am every morning, the 1.45 could have nothing much to do on a regular basis as the shave on it can
tide a man over for a little over 24 hours. But it's a treasure to have in the arsenal.

If I were looking for strictly daily whacker I would find myself torn between 1.25 and 1.35....but leaning to the latter.

Either way you should have zero problems trading down a gap or two...the worst feeling is wondering what a higher gap might feel like.

The idea of wondering about the higher gap is probably my main motivation for going with the 1.45.
I do have a good bit of growth after 24 hrs when using the Timeless .95, even with 2 shims added.
I have yet to run into a razor that provides a shave lasting more than 24 hours.
If the 1.45 does provide a 24+ hour shave I can rotate in the timeless or trade down.
