Mine is DC 1.15 and 1.25 both in solid bar.  This is likely a once in a lifetime purchase.  I went back and forth about the gaps, so I got both.  I shave every day and sometimes feel like pushing the efficiency.  I’ve never used one, so I really don’t know what to expect.

The handle is hollow and feels great.  Based on the size of it, I think solid would have been way too heavy for me.  My current favorite handle is the Weber wave.

The regular finish is beautiful and plenty shiny for me.

First shave is tomorrow!

Congratulations!! The first shave with a Wolfman is something special. Take your time and enjoy! It might send some of your other razors to BST, I know it did for me. Let us know how it goes. Congrats again Smile

The WR2 1.15mm gap offers an efficiency level that works well for daily use...and is the smoothest razor head I've ever used. I would rate this gap as slightly ahead of the Charcoal Goods Level 2 solid bar and Blackbird solid bar razors in terms of efficiency... and far ahead in terms of smoothness.

I don't have both. It seems like there are pictures somewhere but I can't recall where.

This is the best I can do, the Guerrilla was a 'low cost' Wolfman with a basic finish. The first photo is of the brushed satin (extra charge) on the left, the mirror polished in the center, and the Guerrilla on the right. The second photo, the brushed satin on the left, the basic on the right. I'm assuming the finish on the Guerrilla is equivalent to that of the no extra charge 'polished basic', or 'brushed matte.'

My Guerrilla came with a smooth handle in between the ringed cutouts top and bottom. I knurled it myself with a hand knurl but there is enough smooth metal to give you and idea. Sorry the photos aren't better. Cloudy today. Particularly on the top caps, it is hard to see the difference in the photos because of reflections and poor lighting, not to mention my phone camera. Suffice to say I paid $350 Canadian for the basic polish. Is it worth it ? Probably not, but I love the look, and would do it again if I didn't go for even more and get mirror.

Hey guys I know this is a WR1 not a WR2 but I didn't want to make a whole new thread just to ask this. Can someone please verify that this an authentic wolfman? And what finish is it? I talked to the guy selling it and he said it is the standard .61 blade gap and it doesn't come with a box. Also he said it was made back when James didn't put engravings on it. Is it too killer of a deal to pass up? Thanks!

If it's legit I'm going to buy it! It'd be neat to try the holy grail of razors and easy to sell if I don't love it/sell my other gear if I do.  Big Grin

Yup looks legit to me. If he made it back then you’d either be getting the mirror polished or satin brushed. He didn’t compromise on the finish back then.

I’d go for it if I was you.

Awesome thank you for the info! That's great to know. Seems like a really killer deal. Shocked I stumbled upon it on Craigslist of all places lol.
