What blades work best for you all in your WR2s?I have only used Wiz Iridium Super in the WR2 so far but in multiple gaps I find it performs great. I haven’t experimented since it’s been such a great combo. I’ll give a Feather a go on my next blade change to see if the smoothness carries over.

Blade than Feather.
I've read a lot of the pages on this thread and it seems to me there has been a progression of what may be "ideal". Earlier pages would suggest that the WR2 1.15 was a must have type razor. Then comments started praising the 1.25. Then the higher gaps started appearing and things have just gotten overwhelming (at least for me) as to what is the "ideal" WM. I'm really curious to know from those of you who have or have had multiple WMs, if someone likes the efficiency and resulting shave of a Blackbird SB but is looking for a much smoother shave, what WR2 gap be the consensus of the group?
Also, as far as me personally, I don't use the Blackbird on consecutive days because it is so efficient. Is there an optimal WR2 gap that allows you to get a BBS shave but also be able to shave daily? In this regard, the Rockwell base plate 4 would be the best example I can think of - again, for me

I know what you mean, blade gaps hey!.......
I love the Blackbird and also don't use on a daily routine, I have the Wr2 1.05/1.45 and the 1.05 can give a great smooth daily BBS Shave and ahead in efficiency slightly over the BBs-1 for me and also better than the Wr1 .74.
The trick with the Wr2 is that it is so gentle & Smooth across the blade gaps that a higher gap can be used very comfortably, I regularly 3 pass with the 1.45 with no problems and I have a soft Skin type.
I don't feel that you can go wrong with 1.15-1.25 gaps for daily shaving, caution towards the next gap up that you think is right for you based on all the info you have......

The WR2 is in another level in terms of smoothness and blade feel, the 1.25 was the gap that i feel it gave me the same cut as the blackbird but with 10 times less blade feel and a more smooth shave with the WR2 especially XTG and ATG.
The 1.05 is the gap that gave me the same shave as the Rockwell 6s 4 baseplate and the Karve D baseplate, . The Rockwell is a tad bit smoother and less blade feel WTG but XTG and ATG i get more blade feel with the 6s than the WR2, the WR2 is more smoother and you get less blade feel XTG and ATG than any of the other razors that i have tried (6s, Karve, CG lvl 2, GC .68 & .84, lupo & BB), because of this i have sold all my razors except the 6s and the karve.
