Any chance you could trouble yourself to do the same with the 1.55 ?

I'd love to see the comparison.

The 155 has been checked out of the library.  On it's way for a vigorous testing in a secret AZ based shave den.

The pictures are my 145 and a 94 for reference.  The 145 picture isnt quite perpendicular to the cap so maybe it's off just a little.  Hope these help.

Here's my 1.55 with a Gillette 7 o'clock super stainless:

Well I had my first shave with the new WR2 Ti DC 1.45/1.55 SB and I was on 4 full days growth. I was also running late for work so I just did a one pass shave using both sides of the razor just to see if I could feel the difference. Wow is all I have to say. Using both sides, taking medium quick strokes and just doing moderate skin stretching and absolutely no pressure I got a entry level BBS shave in 1 pass! So now curiosity has got me and I’ll have to grow out my beard for 4 days and get really aggressive with my technique on the next shave and see what I can get out of this razor with more time and focus. I did notice a slight difference in blade feel between the 1.;45 and 1.55 but nothing to write home about. So to sum it up doing a quick 1 pass half focused shave this razor already has surpassed my expectations and definitely has that mojo I look for in a razor. As one member said I have to extend my honeymoon with this razor and that’s exactly what I intend to do!

Interested to hear more of your thoughts as time passes. I believe either of those gaps cut closer than anything I'd used prior.

I wish my beard growth was consistent enough to get a one pass BBS...or I was smart enough to learn the grain and adjust accordingly thru the pass. I can get close but dont have the attention span.

The best part is you can pretty much auto pilot that razor without fear of getting cut...as you noticed.

Your right. I would not shave using the sort of reckless abandonment I did in todays shave with any razor of this level of efficiency but all I had to do was guide it, use no pressure and like I said used just moderate skin stretching to achieve the 1 pass BBS I got today.

About mapping your beard. Your not alone. It took me 2 yrs of knowing I should do it until I finally did do it. Lol

Thanks for the congrats and razors like this one are special and makes me loose interest in other razors I thought I wanted.

For the last week or so, I have been using a shavette that takes half a DE blade...this is to get accustomed
to using a straight after a month or so. The first 3 shaves were a stark reminder of why DE razors have guard bars.
But after receiving some tips and steadying the ship, I started to get excellent, highly smooth shaves.
The only drawback if any is that I can't go sideways on the neck (which is a huge part of BBS for my growth patterns.
And you have to go a little slower.

Yesterday I found myself in a rush with a day and a half's growth. Picked up the 1.55Ti and used it without really pausing
to go slow and respect the gap. I have very even hair growth that grows in a few directions. Also, the skin on my face presents
fairly long surfaces without any dips or clefts....so long strokes are possible without any problem. This razor just scythed though everything
with no weepers...nothing. I believe it was JimmyH who said that he felt the 1.55 shaved him better than a straight...and I have to agree enthusiastically.

I find myself approaching a the 1.45 SS with a lot more respect as SS is somehow a little less predictable than Ti in terms of comfort.

However both gaps are just the dog's bollocks when it comes to ruling the DE world.

A shavette is not comparable to a true straight Razor, the blade in a shavette is similar to a de razor blade & quite inferior.
A Blade edge of a finely honed and stropped straight is way smoother......
As a straight shaver I can say that the 1.45 does not compare to the closeness of shave from my straight razor's, of course honing, sharpening, stropping, is an essential skill required to get the best straight shaves......... 

A Wr2 1.45 gives as close a shave as is possible to a straight from a DE razor and is the pinnacle of what can be achieved from a manufactured disposable blade.....that's my take......

I agreed straight razors are much smoother than shavette.
I prefer to mostly use 8/8 filarmonica 14.
But my WR2 1.55 is giving smoother, more comfortable and more efficient shave than my straights. 
May be I am not pro in stropping or not in straight razors, but I enjoy more with WR2 than my straight razors.
