Congrats on the new razors, men. Anxious to hear some feedback on the new toys.

Nice to hear he relented on some Ti. Although now his inbox is gonna be flooded, again. Totally worth it tho.

So I guess for me the 1.45 gap is the sweet spot just like the .94 WR1 is for my face.

Finding one's personal sweet spot in a Wolfman gap is a thing of beauty. Considerably harder to do now since they are being rationed.

I believe your views about your 1.55 SS vs 1.45 Ti serve to illustrate the difference between SS and Ti.

My situation is the reverse of yours as I use a 1.45SS and 1.55Ti

The 1.45 SS feels a little more visceral and, dare I say, a tad less refined than the 1.55Ti (relatively speaking only)
Audio feedback on 1.45SS is a rasp...on 1.55Ti it sounds like a cat purring. Both are the cat's whiskers
when it comes to smoothness, though SS will lag behind by a wee bit.

Both these gaps take me through a 24 hour period effortlessly....I can get away with not shaving at the start of day 2, but
as midday approaches I feel a shave would be nice.

I do find the efficiency of the 1.55Ti better than the 1.45SS...and the added comfort/refinement of Ti
elevates it to the top of the heap for me. IMO, the 1.55 Ti is best razor in the world right now.

I urge everyone to shatter his inbox with requests for Ti until he gives in....so you can see for yourself what an amazing
material Ti is for a shaving instrument.

SS serves the lower gaps well....but Ti in the higher gaps is bliss.
The Ti155 is certainly the best razor I own. There is no other razor I've tried that boasts efficiency and smoothness of the Ti155.

It will be interesting to hear some RS comparisons in smoothness as it's supposed to be one of the smoothest. I doubt it's in the same league in efficiency.

I now have close to a week worth of shaves on my 1.35 sb with a wrh2 hollow handle. I’ve tried a feather blade as well as Nacet. My preference is for the Nacet, which I find slightly smoother. (Nacet seems to be my go to blade in all razors)
This razor/gap works great for me. I can do a 2 pass shave and be good for the day but if I want a BBS, I can do 3 passes. I find the extra efficiency saves some buffing in trouble spots which results in less irritation.

I ordered Sept. 9th and I received notice to accept invoice today. Getting a 1.45 OC WR2.

September 9th? Are you sure? So far I have been listening to invoices for requests dated September 6th. Strange this jump from 6 to 9

SOTD:

WR2 1.45 Dc
M&F L7 Blonde
Bufflehead 5th Season
Silver Blue

Today I opted for a Silver Blue in the 1.45 along with some very slick Bufflehead soap, today's results were a world apart from my previous accidental triple shimmed 1.72 shave!

Super smooth Wtg & Atg 2 pass shave, I followed with a tiny buff that could not be called a third pass...just 3 single small touches......just cos I was enjoying it so much, though I could have gone on to four FULL passes easily had I wished or needed to, but no need, excellent BBS finish. Again the Alum test showed absolutely no skin irritation. This shave was Smooooth,
Today I used the Sb side only, my next shave shall be Oc only for a comparison using the same kit and routine.
This still leaves the question: Where it's place shall be in my rotation of 5 select razors? As a 48hr 2 pass De shaver the end result is the same as I am used to getting with any of my other 4 razors, the 1.45 is overkill for my routine but will however take down the heavier growth of several days & the first pass really shines......  Wink
I look fwd to some comparitive shave offs against my other chosen ones soon.

Sorry, because the razor is DC, can you explain how you used the two parts, SB and OC? And what is the difference between the two parts? Thanks

Sure,
Today I used only the Sb side, I shall be following up in my next shave using only the Oc side using exactly the same kit and routine, I shall report the comparison as soon as I can. My previous brief flirt with the Oc gave a little more blade feel & feedback but with the same shave result.

Woke up to receiving my Proceed To Order email from James this am from 9/6 google form. As frustrating as it is to wait I have taken advantage of this time to determine what I should order. I want to thank everyone who has participated in the thread for providing guidance through their experiences. I shave everyday with 3 passes (WTG, XTG & ATG) with either a Polsliver, Kai or Feather. My weapon of choice started with a Timeless SS DC 68 OC / SB then moved up to the 95 DC, which soon to became my daily driver, as I determined I needed more efficiency in some areas especially under my jaw. I jumped on the same setups when the highly polished Timeless Ti became available and I like it very much. A few weeks ago I received a Carbon Shaving razor which I find is a bit more aggressive than the Timeless 95 which I attribute to a more blade forward design. So now I alternate happily between the two but still want more efficiency while keeping the smoothness. At first my goal was to get something more than the 68 but less than the 95 and the 1.05 gap seemed to be the recommended choice. After becoming very comfortable with the 95 and the Carbon I want still something a bit more so thinking either the 1.15 or 1.25. Please correct me if I am off base but the 1.15 would provide the same efficency as the 95's and the Carbon so thinking the 1.25 in sb would be the unicorn despite how you enablers have tempted me with the higher gaps or even a wild combo like a 1.55 / 1.15 DC. Still questioning if the higher gaps would be too much for a daily driver. One more thing - I am not concerned about reducing my passes to two. I will let the shave determine how many passes are needed. I do prefer shaving everyday or on occasion, skipping a day. Not looking to mow down 4-5 days of growth with a single pass....

I am also a daily 3 pass shaver and the Carbon was just a touch to blade forward for me as a daily driver.  I was  able to use my Ti 1.45 daily for a week but each day I had less and less stubble to shave. I found the 1.15 SS not quite efficient enough for me so I would certainly consider the 1.25 based on what you use.  On a side note, I had the OC/SB 1.15 in SS and found the SB side considerably smoother than the OC and the OC side did not really kick up the efficiency.
