I would go with the 1.55 as well. You'll have no problems trading down if you don't like it.
The 1.55 is very smooth!!! Much smoother than the blackbird for me.

Have a 1.45 SS and 1.55Ti....like to alternate between the two...the difference between the
them is like a 1-2 photo finish in the 100m sprint finals at the Olympics. Too hard to break
down analytically, but 1.55 wins. They are different thanks to Ti having a unique face feel.
I don't consider it as 'soft'...SS feels like cold metal while Ti has no temperature, it feels neutral
if there is such a thing.

Having said that, I did come across an instance where a straight razor user popped off his 1.45 Ti
as it irritated his skin.

In my book , however, 1.55 SB Ti rules....wipes the floor with all other razors. Don't need anything
more.

I went with 1.55 DC with hollow handle, the razor is around 80 grams.
Waiting to receive my razor. Hope I will enjoy...

For someone that’s bouncing back and forth between the 1.15 SBand 1.25 SB for face feel, smoothness, and efficiency...what would that translate over to if I was to try and obtain a Ti in SB? Are they still gap for gap when comparing those metrics?

"Soft" is a word I never liked when describing Ti face feel. I don't have a better word to describe it tho.

I have the 1.45SS and the 1.55Ti as well. To me, the 1.45 can feel "sharper" than the 1.55, if that makes sense....especially noticeable with a Feather. While I like them both, the Ti is a superior razor. Both are appreciably better than any other modern razors I've tried as a total package.

I was going to get mirror polish, but I got three more rare razors this month, decided to save some bucks and got budget polish.
I got WR3H

The feedback from both is very different....To reprise an old review, "the 1.45 SS has a throaty rasp, the 1.55 Ti purrs".
Ive been using both only with the Wizamet Iridiums and it's a hell of a match up. I must try a Feather just for kicks.
The real big deal for me here is that, for the first time in months, I feel totally at ease....not wondering what will this gap,
or that gap feel like? Im sure that feeling had been the bane of many a Wolfman user....hehe. Free at last...yay!

Agreed, the lack of random drops has freed up a lot of time that has been well spent simply enjoying the fruits of the labor. Of course, having one of each helps too.
